Gordon didn't make the Lions' 53-man roster, though he will stick around as a member of the practice squad. The 25-year-old spent four collegiate seasons at Northwestern, totaling 54 receptions for 529 yards and two touchdowns. After spending some time with the Bears' practice squad last season, Gordon will continue his pursuit of earning a spot on an NFL roster.

The Lions signed Gordon to a reserve/future contract Thursday.
Gordon spent most of the regular season without a team before catching on with the Bears as a member of the practice squad in late December. With a future contract, the undrafted rookie out of Northwestern will be on the Lions' 90-man roster when the offseason officially kicks off Feb. 9, which will allow him to participate in OTAs and minicamp.

The Bears signed Gordon to the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Gordon joined the Bears in early August as an undrafted free agent but was unable to crack the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He'll return to Chicago as a member of the team's practice squad and provide additional depth at tight end.
