  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Placed on injured reserve

The Jets placed Brownlee (hip) on injured reserve Saturday, Susanna Weir and Eric Allen of the team's official site report. Brownlee suffered a hip injury in the Jets' Week 12 loss to the Ravens and has not been able to suit up since. The starting slot cornerback was traded to the Jets by the Titans in late September, logging 68 percent of defensive snaps or better from Week 6 through Week 11. Now subject to the four-week minimum required by injured reserve, the earliest the cornerback can return is Week 18 against the Bills. Ja'Sir Taylor will likely take over at slot cornerback in the starter's absence, with newly signed Jordan Clark backing Taylor up.

  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Out for Week 14

Head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters Wednesday that Brownlee (hip) won't play in Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins. The Louisville product is now in line to miss his second consecutive game due to a hip injury. Brownlee has appeared in seven games since being dealt from the Titans to the Jets in late September, recording 36 total tackles, two passes defensed and one forced fumble. While he remains sidelined Sunday, Ja'Sir Taylor will likely operate as the team's top slot corner.

  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Sees snap count dwindle Week 12

Brownlee posted five tackles (three solo) during the Jets' 23-10 loss to the Ravens on Sunday. Brownlee logged at least five tackles for the fifth time in six games during Sunday's loss. However, the second-year corner played just 23 of 63 defensive snaps (36.5 percent), his lowest since Week 5 against the Cowboys when he played just seven defensive snaps. It's unclear whether Brownlee's workload will change when the Jets host the Falcons this Sunday.

  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Four tackles in win

Brownlee recorded four total tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 27-20 victory over Cleveland. Brownlee played 57 defensive snaps in the contest, his highest total since being traded from the Titans to New York in late September. He was able to secure at least four stops for the fourth straight game. The cornerback has now registered 40 total tackles (26 solo), three passes defensed and a forced fumble over seven contests with the Titans and Jets this season.

  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Breaks up two passes in win

Brownlee recorded four solo tackles and two pass breakups in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Bengals. The cornerback has played on 68 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the last three games for the Jets. Brownlee was traded from the Titans in September, and he has slowly but surely worked his way up to a starting role at nickel corner. With Michael Carter recently having been traded to Philadelphia, Brownlee's spot should be secure.

  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Doesn't practice Thursday

Brownlee (ankle) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Brownlee will have to wait at least one more day before participating in practice with his new team. The 2024 fifth-rounder was traded by the Titans to the Jets on Tuesday, and he is expected to serve in a rotational role in the Jets' secondary. Brownlee will have two more opportunities to practice ahead of Monday's AFC East tilt against the Dolphins.

  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Traded to Gang Green

The Titans traded Brownlee (ankle) to the Jets on Tuesday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports. The move will also include late-round pick swaps for the 2026 NFL Draft. Brownlee was the Titans' starting corner in each of the first two games of the season and logged 17 tackles (11 solo) and one pass defense. He suffered an ankle injury during the Titans' Week 2 loss to the Rams, and given his injury and the time it takes to acclimate to a new defense, he's facing an uphill battle to play in Monday's AFC East clash against the Dolphins. When healthy, the 2024 fifth-rounder will serve in a rotational role at outside corner behind Brandon Stephens and Sauce Gardner (head).

  • Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Not playing vs. Indianapolis

Brownlee (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Brownlee was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice before not participating in Friday's session due to an ankle injury. The injury is severe enough that he won't suit up Sunday, and his next chance to play is Week 4 against the Texans on Sunday, Sept. 28. Darrell Baker and Jalyn Armour-Davis are the top candidates to see an expanded role at outside corner opposite L'Jarius Sneed due to Brownlee's injury.

  • Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Piles up nine tackles in loss

Brownlee recorded nine tackles (six solo) in the Titans' loss to the Broncos on Sunday. Brownlee started at outside cornerback opposite L'Jarius Sneed and played 75 of 76 defensive snaps, tying Cody Barton for the team lead in tackles. Brownlee held his own in coverage and played strong run defense, and figures to hold down one of the starting cornerback spots this season after Tennessee did little to address the positional needs in the offseason.

  • Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Gets green light

Brownlee (hip) is good to go for Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars. Brownlee was unable to practice Friday after a limited workload the previous day, which indicated he was trending in the wrong direction. However, it looks like he was able to expedite his recovery and is now set to take on his usual workload at cornerback against Jacksonville.

  • Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Working through hip injury

Brownlee (hip) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Brownlee's hip injury may be a new issue since he was able to log a full practice Wednesday. The severity of the injury isn't clear, but if he's able to practice Friday, then Brownlee should have no trouble playing Sunday against Jacksonville. The rookie corner has logged 35 tackles (22 solo) and eight pass defenses (including one interception) in the eight regular-season games since the Titans' Week 5 bye.

  • Titans' Jarvis Brownlee: Good to go vs. Detroit

Brownlee (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions. Brownlee popped up on Friday's injury report due to an ankle injury, which earned him the questionable tag. The injury isn't serious enough to keep the rookie fifth-rounder off the field Sunday, and that's good news for the Titans, as L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) is inactive for the contest. Brownlee took over the starting corner job after Chidobe Awuzie (groin) was placed on injured reserve in late September. Brownlee has played 100 percent of the Titans' defensive snaps over the past two games and has logged eight tackles (seven solo) and four passes defended over that span.
