Taylor (knee) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday.

  • Raiders' Trey Taylor: Returns to practice Wednesday

Taylor (undisclosed) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday.

Taylor has missed the Raiders' first four games this season due to an undisclosed injury, but following Wednesday's return to practice, it appears he's almost past the issue. The rookie out of Air Force will need to be activated to Las Vegas' active roster in the next 21 days or he'll revert back to the team's IR.

  • Raiders' Trey Taylor: Opens year on IR

Taylor (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Raiders on Tuesday.

Taylor compiled three total tackles (two solo) with the Raiders in the preseason, suffering an undisclosed injury in the process. The safety will be forced to miss the first four games of the regular season while on IR. He'll be eligible to return in Week 5 on the road at Denver on Oct. 6.

  • Raiders' Trey Taylor: Goes from Air Force to Sin City

The Raiders selected Taylor in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 223rd overall.

The 2023 Jim Thorpe Award winner, which is presented to the nation's top defensive back, had to wait all the way until the seventh round to hear his name called. Taylor did not receive a combine invite and is on the smaller side for a safety at 206 pounds. Still, to win that award speaks volumes. Taylor was all over the field at Air Force and was a playmaker. He may not have the conventional makings of a star, but the football acumen is worth taking the gamble in the seventh round for Las Vegas.
