  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: In line to suit up vs. Bills

Coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that Bigsby (shoulder) is "ok" and will play versus Buffalo on Monday Night Football, John Shipley of SI.com reports. Bigsby didn't play any offensive snaps versus the Browns in Week 2. He suffered a shoulder injury on a kickoff return in the second quarter, but was subsequently able to retake the field. After Bigsby looked solid for Jacksonville in Week 1, it was likely due to the shoulder issue that he wasn't called upon to handle a single carry behind Travis Etienne versus Cleveland, while D'Ernest Johnson rushed five times for 26 yards. It sounds like the 2023 third-round pick will be able to resume handling the No. 2 backfield role versus Buffalo.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: No touches Week 2

Bigsby (shoulder) returned to Sunday's loss against Cleveland but didn't play any offensive snaps. Bigsby suffered a shoulder injury during the second quarter on a kickoff return, and he was able to return to the contest during the second half. The 2023 third-round pick didn't play any offensive snaps in the game, as D'Ernest Johnson carried five times for 26 yards behind starting running back Travis Etienne. Bigsby had a promising season opener with 12 carries for 73 yards, but his involvement Week 2 left a lot to be desired. Even though he returned to the field, the shoulder injury may have affected Bigsby's role versus the Browns, so he still should be considered Jacksonville's No. 2 running back for now.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Exits Sunday's game

Bigsby was forced out of Sunday's game against the Browns with a shoulder injury. Prior to his exit from the contest, Bigsby hadn't recorded a carry. In his absence, Travis Etienne and D'Ernest Johnson are available to handle the Jaguars' RB duties.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Stashes (RB Preview)

The top two guys on this list last week were Mason and Irving, Bigsby was third. By the time we get to Week 2, they may all be rostered in too many leagues. Bigsby remains in the stash category because I still think he needs an injury to be a flex. Of course, if Travis Etienne fumbles another game away that could change.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Week 2 Waiver Priority List

Bigsby was Jacksonville's best running back in Week 1 at Miami with 12 carries for 73 yards. Travis Etienne, meanwhile, had 12 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 15 yards on three targets. We heard all offseason that Jacksonville wanted to give Bigsby a bigger role, and it played out that way against the Dolphins. He might do enough to be a flex in deeper leagues while Etienne is healthy, and Bigsby could be a lottery ticket if Etienne ever missed any time. Bigsby is worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Outgains Etienne in loss

Bigsby carried 12 times for 73 yards and wasn't targeted during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. The 23-year-old put forth the best game of his young career in the season opener, as he matched Travis Etienne in carries and produced 29 more rushing yards. Bigsby's afternoon was highlighted by runs of 26 and 17 yards, both of which exceeded Etienne's long for the day. After a disappointing rookie campaign that saw Bigsby total just 50 carries for 132 yards, it appears he could have a decent role in Jacksonville's offense during 2024 as the No. 2 tailback. He isn't likely to match rushing attempts with Etienne most weeks, but Bigsby could prove to be a viable insurance option if Etienne struggles or suffers an injury.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Stashes (RB Preview)

My favorite stashes rostered in fewer than 25% of leagues are Bigsby, Audric Estime, and Kimani Vidal. Bigsby struggled as a rookie, but he's had a good offseason and looks primed to play the RB2 role they envisioned for him when they drafted him. He has good pedigree and I expect Jacksonville to be an above-average offense. We'd view him as a top-20 back if Travis Etienne misses time.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Week 1 Waiver Priority List

Bigsby is the No. 2 running back for the Jaguars behind Travis Etienne, and there's a chance Bigsby could get some goal-line chances this season instead of Etienne. I don't want to see that happen because it would lower the value for Etienne, but Bigsby is a good handcuff to stash in deeper leagues.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Records 56 total yards Saturday

Bigsby rushed 10 times for 37 yards and brought in all three targets for 19 yards in the Jaguars' 20-7 preseason win over the Buccaneers on Saturday night. Bigsby drew the start with Travis Etienne sitting out, and the second-year back quickly gained a combined 10 yards on the Jaguars' second and third plays from scrimmage. Bigsby's heavy level of involvement by preseason standards and what he did with it was encouraging, especially after a ragged rookie year where he averaged just 2.6 yards per carry. Bigsby appears to be running ahead of D'Ernest Johnson for the No. 2 job behind Etienne, and he'll have another opportunity to make his case in the Friday night road preseason finale against the Falcons.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Improving after rough rookie year

Jaguars running backs coach Jerry Mack said Bigsby's offseason priority has been to "refocus," and that "now things are starting to slow down for him" entering Year 2, Juston Lewis of the Jacksonville Florida Times-Union reports. Coach Doug Pederson said back in May that the team hopes Bigsby will be able to spell starter Travis Etienne more often during the 2024 season, but for that to happen the 2023 third-round pick will need to improve upon a lackluster rookie performance. Last season, Bigsby logged just 50 carries for 132 yards (2.6 YPC) and two touchdowns across 17 games. Mack noted that as a rookie "everything was extremely fast for [Bigsby]," but said that this offseason "he's understanding the ins and outs of the offense a lot better." D'Ernest Johnson and rookie fifth-round pick Keilan Robinson could offer competition for the No. 2 role, but if Bigsby can indeed improve entering the 2024 campaign and retain a complementary role behind Etienne, he could provide value as a post-hype sleeper in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Could spell Etienne more often

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said last week that he would like Bigsby to get more playing time to "take some of the pounding off of Travis [Etienne]," Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports. Jaguars brass made similar comments last offseason after drafting Bigsby in the third round, but he had just three games all season with more than three carries and none with more than 17 snaps. A pair of lost fumbles on his first 24 touches didn't help, and the Jaguars eventually preferred D'Ernest Johnson as the running back to give Etienne occasional breathers. While Johnson is back with the team in 2024, Bigsby's combination of draft capital, college production (2,903 rushing yards) and size (six-foot, 213 pounds) should allow him another shot to win the No. 2 role. Whether the Jaguars actually end up trusting him enough to take a significant chunk out of Etienne's workload is another question.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Quiet rookie campaign

Bigsby rushed three times for 16 yards and returned four kickoffs for 99 yards during Jacksonville's Week 18 loss to Tennessee. He finished the season with 50 rushes for 132 yards and two touchdowns plus one catch for six yards. The rookie third-round pick opened and finished the season as the Jags' primary backup tailback, but he worked in the No. 3 role from Week 12 to Week 16. Starter Travis Etienne played in all 17 games and was the clear workhorse in the backfield, leaving minimal opportunities for Jacksonville's other backs. The only other running back on the roster, D'Ernest Johnson, is set to become a free agent, so Bigsby has a strong chance of opening 2024 in the No. 2 role once again.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: No touches Week 13

Bigsby played two offensive snaps during Monday's 34-31 loss to the Bengals. It's just the second time this season the rookie third-round pick didn't receive a carry, as D'Ernest Johnson has settled in as Jacksonville's No. 2 tailback the past few weeks. Travis Etienne remains locked in as the starter, leaving Bigsby in a depth role heading into the final month-plus of the campaign.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Falls into tertiary role

Bigsby had one carry for six yards during Sunday's 24-21 win against the Texans. The rookie third-round pick played a season-low two offensive snaps and now appears to be clearly behind D'Ernest Johnson on the backfield depth chart. Bigsby has 36 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns through his first 11 NFL games, but he's unlikely to see many opportunities down the stretch if Johnson and starter Travis Etienne stay healthy.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Does little with nine carries

Bigsby rushed nine times for 21 yards during Sunday's 34-14 win over the Titans. Jacksonville was in control throughout Sunday's contest, which allowed Bigsby to set a season high in carries. The 22-year-old also set a season high in rushing yards, though it wasn't an efficient performance. D'Ernest Johnson had a similar workload with more yardage for the second straight week, and Bigsby could be losing his grip on the No. 2 job in Jacksonville's backfield.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Three carries Week 8

Bigsby carried three times for nine yards and lost a fumble during Sunday's 20-10 win against the Steelers. The 22-year-old saw six offensive snaps as starter Travis Etienne received 27 touches for 149 yards and a touchdown while playing an 89 percent snap share. Etienne continues to operate as Jacksonville's workhorse back, leaving minimal opportunities for Bigsby in the No. 2 role.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Week 4 Waiver Priority List

Bigsby hasn't done much to warrant starting for your Fantasy team, but I still want to stash him on my bench. If something happens to Travis Etienne, Bigsby could be a lottery ticket. He has two rushing touchdowns in three games for the Jaguars, but he's capable of being a three-down running back if given the chance. He's worth stashing for 1 percent of your FAB.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Scores TD in loss

Bigsby rushed twice for 10 yards and a touchdown and failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 37-17 loss to the Texans. The 22-year-old played just nine offensive snaps in the blowout loss, but he received some run early in the third quarter and punched in a one-yard touchdown after a long pass-interference penalty set up Jacksonville at the goal line. D'Ernest Johnson had a similar workload while starter Travis Etienne dominated the backfield with 23 touches for 138 yards from scrimmage. Bigsby has just nine carries for 23 yards through three games, though he's received some goal-line work with a pair of scores.

  • Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Sleeper RBs

I'm expecting the Jaguars to be playing with a lead this week against the Colts, which should give Jacksonville the opportunity to use Bigsby in tandem with Travis Etienne. We saw in the preseason just how much the Jaguars like Bigsby, and he rewarded them by averaging 5.7 yards per carry in three games. Etienne remains a must-start running back in all leagues, but Bigsby could be a sneaky flex option in deeper formats.
