  • Isaac Alarcon: Suspension lifted, let go Monday

    The 49ers waived Alarcon on Monday. Alarcon was unavailable for the first six games of the season after being suspended for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy. The offensive tackle had his suspension lifted Monday, but the 49ers weren't willing to open up a spot for him on the 53-man roster.

    Alarcon will play on the defensive line this season, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. The product of the NFL's International Pathway Program has spent the last three seasons with the Cowboys as an offensive lineman, but the team apparently feels Alarcon will have a better chance of seeing action during the regular season on the other side of the ball.

  • Cowboys' Isaac Alarcon: Inks future deal

    The Cowboys signed Alarcon to a reserve/future contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Alarcon is now in line to remain in Dallas throughout the summer and into the offseason where he'll continue competing for one of the team's roster spots. The 6-foot-7, 320-pounder hasn't received an elevation to the Cowboys' active roster since joining the practice squad in 2021.
