Keanaaina (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Lions on Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. The defensive tackle is now free to sign with another team once he's healthy enough. Keanaaina initially signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent out of Cal.

The Lions placed Keanaaina (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday. Keanaaina will now spend the entirety of the 2026 season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The undrafted free agent out of California was competing for a depth spot on the defensive line before suffering the undisclosed injury that will end his rookie season.
