Packers' Carrington Valentine: Participates on Wednesday
Valentine (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Valentine suffered a hamstring injury during an early August practice. The cornerback was sidelined with the injury throughout the preseason, so a full practice during the Packers' first official regular-season practice is a huge step up. Valentine should be all set to suit up as the primary depth cornerback in Sunday's Week 1 divisional matchup with the Vikings.

Packers' Carrington Valentine: Aiming to return next week
Head coach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that the hope is Valentine (hamstring) is cleared to return to training camp practices next week, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Given LaFleur's comments, Valentine will not be available for Thursday's preseason opener against the Steelers. If the 2023 seventh-rounder is cleared to return to practice next week, then he could be available for the Packers' second exhibition contest against the Broncos on Friday, Aug. 21. Benjamin St-Juste and Brandon Cisse will work more with the first-team offense opposite cornerback Keisean Nixon for as long as Valentine is sidelined.

Valentine (hamstring) will not practice the remainder of the week Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Coach Matt LaFleur says that the cornerback's hamstring issue is not a long-term concern, implying Valentine could see the field again as soon as next week. While the starting cornerback is out, Brandon Cisse and Benjamin St-Juste should see more reps with the first-team defense.

Packers' Carrington Valentine: Injured during practice
Valentine suffered a leg injury in practice Sunday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Valentine won't practice Monday, but the team hasn't indicated if this will impact his long-term availability for training camp. The Packers added Benjamin St-Juste during the offseason and also spent their top draft pick on Brandon Cisse in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but Valentine began training camp as the projected starting cornerback opposite Keisean Nixon. The 24-year-old is entering a contract year after recording 31 tackles and four pass deflections across 17 regular-season games in 2025.
