Williams was waived by the Cardinals on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Williams has bounced around some since his rookie campaign with the Ravens in 2021. The BYU product spent part of the 2022 season on Arizona's practice squad and did suit up for one contest, securing a catch for a five-yard gain in the process.

Cardinals' Ty'Son Williams: Promoted to active roster Week 18
Rotowire
The Cardinals elevated Williams from the practice squad Saturday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Williams is in line to make his season debut after joining Arizona's practice squad in mid-October. Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury already said Friday that Corey Clement and Keaontay Ingram would be in line for increased roles Week 18 after top running back James Conner (shin/ankle) was ruled out. Therefore, it's likely Williams will serve as the team's third-string running back in this relatively meaningless regular-season finale for Arizona, as the team was eliminated from the 2022 playoffs multiple weeks ago.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Disappears as season progresses
Rotowire
Williams had 35 carries for 185 yards and a touchdown over 13 games in 2021. He added nine receptions for 84 yards on 12 targets.
Williams was a hot name at the end of draft season as the lone remaining running back on the roster after J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards went down late in the preseason with season-ending knee injuries. The early returns were promising; he scored a touchdown in the opener and had 13 carries for 77 yards in Week 2. However, issues such as blitz pickup forced the Ravens to go away from Williams after that as the team pilfered the pile of veteran free agents like Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray and even Le'Veon Bell to handle the backfield duties. Williams' role diminished from there and he had all of 20 offensive snaps and two total carries after the Week 8 bye. With Dobbins and Edwards primed to return, Williams projects to be the No.3 running back going into the offseason assuming the team doesn't retain Freeman and Murray.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: No snaps with offense
Rotowire
Williams did not play an offensive snaps Sunday against the Browns.
A week after being inactive, Williams was able to play Sunday but did not see any playing time with the offense. He logged nine snaps on special teams while Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray took on the bulk of the running back work. Williams hasn't had more than one carry in any game since Week 7 and does not appear to have a role in Baltimore's offense any longer.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Inactive Sunday
Rotowire
Williams is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
With Williams inactive, the Ravens' Week 13 backfield will be comprised of Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray and Nate McCrary.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Carries once in win
Rotowire
Williams recorded one carry for one yard and failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Browns.
Williams continues to be an afterthought for the Ravens, as he played just two snaps in the game despite having recently moved up to third on the depth chart following the release of Le'Veon Bell. Veterans Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray are splitting the workload at running back, leaving little opportunity for Williams.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Effective in limited role
Rotowire
Williams had two carries for 10 yards and caught both of his targets for 24 yards Sunday against the Bengals.
Latavius Murray's injury paved the way for Williams to rejoin the active roster Sunday. The run game went out the window in the second half when the Bengals started to build a multiscore lead, so no Baltimore running back saw much work. Williams, along with Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman, each saw more than 20 snaps, but none of them tallied more than five carries. Baltimore is on bye this week, which gives Murray added time to get healthy. That could complicate Williams' status for Week 9 if Murray is indeed active, though neither Bell nor Freeman are outplaying Williams by any significant measure.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Suiting up Sunday
Rotowire
Williams is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Williams returned to the inactive list for the Ravens' Week 6 win over the Chargers, but he'll be suiting up as the team's No. 3 back Sunday after Latavius Murray (ankle) was ruled out for the contest. Devonta Freeman is expected to replace Murray as the team's lead option out of the backfield, while Le'Veon Bell looks to be next in line for work. As a result, Williams likely won't be tasked with handling a meaningful role Week 7.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Not active Sunday
Rotowire
Williams (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Williams was inactive for Week 4 before suiting up last week against the Colts and totaling six touches for 21 yards, and he's now inactive again for Week 6. Latavius Murray should lead Baltimore's backfield versus Los Angeles while Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell operate as the secondary options.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Gets six touches
Rotowire
Williams rushed four times for six yards and caught both his targets for 15 yards in Monday night's 31-25 overtime win against the Colts.
After being inactive in Week 4, Williams was the second tailback to enter the game for Baltimore but didn't get his first touch until after both starter Latavius Murray and fellow backup Devonta Freeman has gotten theirs. Although the three split snaps over the course of the contest, when a big deficit required Baltimore to pass the ball more, Williams wasn't able to take advantage. Fortunately, neither Murray nor Freeman topped 35 scrimmage yards either, leaving the Ravens' backfield picture muddled. Given Williams' role reduction since the first couple games of the season, as well as the practice-squad presence of Le'Veon Bell, Williams' fantasy value is precarious ahead of a Week 6 matchup versus the Chargers.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Available Monday
Rotowire
Williams is active for Monday's game against the Colts.
Williams hovered around a 50 percent snap share in the Ravens' offense in each of the first three games of the season, turning 27 carries into 164 yards and one touchdown to go with five catches (on seven targets) for 45 yards. Clearly the initial beneficiary of all the injuries in Baltimore's backfield, he was curiously a healthy scratch Week 4 while Latavius Murray was the lead runner, with Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman getting the rest of the RB work. The team opted not to elevate Bell from the practice squad Monday, leaving Murray, Freeman and Williams as its available running backs. Considering he's been active for each of the Ravens' five contests this season, Murray again seems poised to be the No. 1 RB, but it'll be interesting to see if Williams can regain a foothold.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Inactive for Sunday's game
Rotowire
Williams is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
With Williams sitting this one out, the Ravens have decided to go with the veteran backfield trio of Latavius Murray (the expected Week 4 starter), Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman versus Denver.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Not expected to start
Rotowire
Williams could be headed for a smaller role Sunday against the Ravens with Mike Garofolo of NFL Network reporting that Latavius Murray is expected to serve as Baltimore's lead back.
Williams has been listed as a starter in each of the Ravens' previous three games, but the designation hasn't meant much from a fantasy perspective, as Baltimore has ran a full-fledged backfield committee in each of those contests. Though the second-year player out of South Carolina is averaging an excellent 6.1 yards per carry on 27 totes, he drew poor reviews from offensive coordinator Greg Roman coming out of last week's win over Detroit and looks on track to see a smaller role Sunday after handling snap shares between 47 and 51 percent in each of Baltimore's first three contests. Murray projects to see the largest workload of a backfield that also includes Williams, Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman, but expect Baltimore to once again take a committee approach to the position, making it difficult to trust any of the four players in Week 4 fantasy lineups.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Leads backfield in victory
Rotowire
Williams rushed 13 times for 77 yards and caught both of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 36-35 win over the Chiefs.
Williams continued to lead the backfield as expected following the acquisition of Devonta Freeman (two rushes for 29 yards), but he did have a touchdown vultured by Latavius Murray. Lamar Jackson stole the show on the ground (16 rushes for 107 yards and two rushing scores), leaving scraps for the rest of the Ravens' rushing attack. It was still a solid outing from Williams all things considered, and his line would have looked a whole lot better if he cashed in on one of those three rushing scores. The former undrafted rookie has a nice matchup on tap against a young, unproven Lions defense next Sunday.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Part of backfield rotation
Rotowire
Despite the addition of Devonta Freeman to the Ravens' active roster, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic believes that Williams and Latavius Murray continue to profile as the team's top two backs.
With that in mind, Zrebiec suggests that Freeman figures to log limited touches and see some third-down work in a backfield that offensive coordinator Greg Roman indicates will continue to "rotate guys in and out and try to keep them as fresh as we can." In that context, Williams will continue to see his share of touches Sunday against Kansas City, but Murray and Freeman, to a lesser degree, also will factor in. As is the case in any timeshare, weekly carry allotments could vary if/when any of the team's backs emerges as the hot hand in any given contest.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Scores in debut
Rotowire
Williams rushed nine times for 65 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 33-27 overtime loss to the Raiders. He also caught three of four targets for 29 yards.
Williams started at tailback in his first career game after the slew of devastating injuries recently endured by the Ravens' backfield. To his credit, the undrafted BYU product got things rolling with a 21-yard catch on Baltimore's second drive, which he capped with a 35-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-one play later on. In doing so, Williams showed nice burst up the middle and finished with a rather commendable stat line overall. However, despite signing mere days ago, veteran Latavius Murray was also immediately incorporated into the offense, and he topped Williams with 10 carries, gaining 28 yards and scoring once himself and seeing much of his action late in the game after Williams whiffed on a couple pass-protection assignments. Although the Ravens will certainly be pleased by the rookie's performance, especially on such short notice, it'll be interesting to see whether they stick with him as their starter in the upcoming weeks or lean more on the veteran options they've brought aboard, namely Murray and current practice-squad members Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman. In the end, it could prove to be a committee approach, which includes star quarterback Lamar Jackson running as well, but Williams at least helped his cause with a mostly solid showing Monday.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Poised to head Week 1 backfield
Rotowire
Williams, Latavius Murray and Trenton Cannon are in line to handle the Ravens' backfield duties Monday night against the Raiders, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Per Zrebiec, the Ravens elected not to elevate either Le'Veon Bell or Devonta Freeman from their practice squad in advance of the contest. It's a scenario that Zrebiec believes should result in Williams seeing the bulk of the team's backfield work Monday night, with Murray -- a recent addition to the roster -- a candidate to mix in, while Cannon makes his mark on special teams

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Expected to lead backfield Week 1
Rotowire
Williams is expected to draw the start at running back for the Ravens in their opener against the Raiders on Monday, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.
As Hensley points out, Williams is the only healthy running back who was on Baltimore's roster before Wednesday, but in the wake of season-ending injuries to J.K. Dobbins (knee), Gus Edwards (knee) and Justice Hill (Achilles), Williams' profile in the team's offense has expanded as Week 1 approaches. With news that Latavius Murray is slated to join the ranks, Trenton Cannon in reserve and the potential that Le'Veon Bell and/or Devonta Freeman could be promoted from the Ravens' practice squad, this is a fluid backfield situation. By necessity, it appears that Williams is headed for a key role Monday night, with a committee/hot hand approach a plausible outcome in subsequent weeks.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Wins roster spot
Rotowire
Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Williams will have a spot on the initial 53-man roster, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. "You do the math, he's there," Harbaugh said Monday. "He'll be out there playing, and he's ready to go."
After making a push this summer to replace Justice Hill as the No. 3 running back, Williams may even enter Week 1 as the No. 2. The Ravens lost J.K. Dobbins to a torn ACL on Saturday, leaving Gus Edwards as the only back on the roster with more than 70 NFL carries. Williams is a 2020 UDFA who spent his rookie season on Baltimore's practice squad, and he'll likely be ticketed for single-digit carries if he does have a part in the game plan Week 1 at Las Vegas.

Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Opportunity knocks
Rotowire
Williams' role in the Ravens offense is in line to expand following reports that fellow running back J.K. Dobbins has suffered a season-ending torn ACL, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
In the absence of Dobbins, Gus Edwards is slated to step into the the team's lead role, while Williams, Justice Hill and undrafted rookie Nate McCrary are in the mix for complementary work. Given that Hill has missed time with an ankle issue and Williams has been impressive this summer, Hensley suggests that Williams could end up securing the No. 2 role behind Edwards heading into the coming season. It's still possible that the Ravens could add some backfield depth in short order, but in the wake of Dobbins' injury, Williams now is worth considering late in drafts or as a low-cost flyer in bidding formats.
