  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Picks up win overseas

Bobrovsky made 32 saves on 36 shots in Friday's 6-4 win over the Stars. Bobrovsky has won three consecutive games and four of his last five. The 36-year-old netminder has allowed seven goals on 89 shots during his three-game win streak. Bobrovsky has given up two goals or less in just three of his nine starts, but he's supported by a Florida club scoring 3.67 goals per game. The Russia native is up to a 6-2-1 record, .892 save percentage and 3.08 GAA across nine outings.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Patrolling crease versus Stars

Bobrovsky will be in goal against the Stars in Finland on Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports. It will be Bobrovsky's ninth appearance of the season, having gone 5-2-1 with a 2.97 GAA and .892 save percentage in his previous eight outings. Over his career versus Dallas, the veteran netminder is 18-2-2 with a .924 save percentage and 2.35 GAA in 23 contests. He'll look to continue his winning ways in Friday's Global Series matchup.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Nabs fifth win

Bobrovsky made 26 saves in Monday's 5-2 win over the Sabres. Both goals came during a two-minute stretch midway through the second period as Buffalo tied the game at 2-2, but Bobrovsky shut the door the rest of the way. The veteran netminder has a 5-2-1 record to begin the season, but a couple bumpy outings have left him with a less impressive 2.97 GAA and .892 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Starting Monday's game

Head coach Paul Maurice said Monday that Bobrovsky will start Monday's road game against Buffalo, Doug Plagens of the Panthers Radio Network reports. Bobrovsky got the night off Saturday against the Islanders but will return to action Monday. Over his last four appearances, he's posted a 2-1-1 record, 3.17 GAA and .880 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Makes history Thursday

Bobrovsky turned aside 24 shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Rangers. After getting beat by Alexis Lafreniere from in close early in the first period, Bobrovsky shut down the Blueshirts for the rest of the night. In the process, he became the fastest goalie in NHL history to get to 400 career wins, doing so in his 707th contest. Coincidentally, it was Rangers legend Henrik Lundqvist who held the old record of 727 games. Bobrovsky is the 14th netminder in history to reach the 400-win milestone, and he should move up the ranks quickly this season -- Hall of Famer Tony Esposito sits in 10th with 423. Bobrovsky is 4-2-1 to begin the current campaign with a 3.11 GAA and .886 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Between pipes versus Rangers

Bobrovsky will tend the twine on the road against the Rangers on Thursday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Bobrovsky has already made six starts this season, posting a 3-2-1 record while sporting a career-worst 3.47 GAA. The veteran struggled in his most recent outing, getting the hook after allowing five goals on just 16 shots (.688 save percentage). A matchup with a Rangers squad that is scoring over five goals per game probably isn't the best way for Bobrovsky to get back on track.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Gets hook in Tuesday's loss

Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 16 shots before being replaced by Spencer Knight to begin the third period of Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Wild. Bobrovsky's first crack at his 400th career win didn't go as planned, as the Panthers gave him very little help. The veteran netminder has had something of a bumpy start to the season, posting a 3-2-1 record with a 3.48 GAA and .875 save percentage, but reaching the milestone could be weighing on his mind. His next chance at No. 400 could come Thursday on the road against the Rangers, although it wouldn't be a shock if Knight got the nod between the pipes instead after Bobrovsky started the last three games.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Set to defend home crease Tuesday

Bobrovsky is expected to start at home against Minnesota on Tuesday, according to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now. Bobrovsky is 3-1-1 with a 2.95 GAA and an .896 save percentage in five appearances this season. His next victory will be the 400th of his career -- just 13 other goaltenders have ever reached that milestone in the NHL. The Wild are in a three-way tie for 18th offensively with 3.00 goals per game.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Hangs on for OT win

Bobrovsky made 23 saves in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights. The injury-plagued Panthers never held the lead during regulation, but Bobrovsky kept them in it until Gustav Forsling found the winner with just 17 seconds left in OT. The veteran netminder is 3-1-1 to begin the season with a 2.95 GAA and .896 save percentage, and Bob may not get a break until the defending Stanley Cup champs play back-to-back games in Finland against the Stars at the beginning of November as part of the Global Series.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Slated to start Saturday

Bobrovsky is slated to protect the home crease versus Vegas on Saturday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports. Bobrovsky is off to a 2-1-1 start with a 2.99 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Spencer Knight will see his fair share of starts this season, giving the 36-year-old Bobrovsky more time off and making him fresher for another playoff run. Vegas has scored 4.00 goals per game this season and could give Bobrovsky some trouble in Saturday's matchup.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Scuffles continue

Bobrovsky made 30 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Canucks on Tuesday. The first two goals that got past Bobrovsky were controversial. Teddy Blueger's first-period goal was called no goal on the ice, but that was overturned by the Situation Room after they determined the puck had completely crossed the line. Then Quinn Hughes' second period goal was challenged on the ice on a possible hand pass, but video review showed the puck deflected off the player's glove. J.T. Miller scored off the rush in OT. Bobrovsky has been mid so far this season with a 2-1-1 record, 2.99 GAA and .898 save percentage. That's sluggish to say the least after his brilliant 36-17-4 record, 2.37 GAA and .915 save percentage from 2023-24 (and a long Cup run). Hopefully this isn't Cup fatigue.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Tending twine Thursday

Bobrovsky will be between the home pipes versus Vancouver on Thursday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports. Bobrovsky has won two of his three starts to begin the 2024-25 campaign, giving up nine goals on 85 shots (.894 save percentage). He will face the struggling Canucks, who are 0-1-2 thus far, scoring only eight goals in three contests. Bobrovsky had his troubles versus Vancouver last season, losing both starts while allowing eight goals on 47 shots.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Secures win over Bruins

Bobrovsky gave up three goals on 27 shots in Monday's 4-3 win over Boston. Bobrovsky registered a sub-900 save percentage for the second time in his three appearances this season but still managed to pick up win No. 2. With the Panthers heading into the second half of a back-to-back, Spencer Knight figures to get the nod on the road against Columbus on Tuesday before Bobrovsky likely retakes the crease again Thursday versus Vancouver.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: In goal Monday

Bobrovsky will get the starting nod on the road against Boston on Monday. Bobrovsky will be coming into Monday's matchup with some extra rest after Spencer Knight patrolled the crease versus Buffalo on Saturday. Despite stopping 28 of 30 shots his last time out (.933 save percentage), the Bobrovsky was still saddled with a road loss to Ottawa on Thursday. With both Matthew Tkachuk (illness) and Aleksander Barkov (lower body) currently sidelined, Bobrovsky will need to step up his game even more as his offensive support is likely to falter.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Ambushed by Sens

Bobrovsky turned aside 28 of 30 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Senators, with Ottawa's final goal getting scored into an empty net. The two Sens tallies against Bobrovsky both came before the 11-minutes mark of the first period, including a power-play strike through traffic by Tim Stutzle. The 36-year-old goalie stood tall the rest of the way, but the Panthers' offense had trouble solving Linus Ullmark. Bobrovsky is 1-1 with a 3.03 GAA as he settles into the current season.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Facing Ottawa

Bobrovsky will defend the road crease in Ottawa on Thursday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Bobrovsky will make his second consecutive start to begin the 2024-25 campaign. Bobrovsky gave up four goals on 28 shots in a 6-4 win over Boston on Opening Night. The 36-year-old will face the Senators, who were 14th in the Eastern Conference standings last season with 76 points.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Carried to win by offense

Bobrovsky turned aside 24 shots in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Bruins. The Panthers jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first period and were comfortably ahead 6-2 with four minutes left in the third, so Bobrovsky's focus may have wavered just a bit before the final horn. It's still a win in the books to begin Florida's Stanley Cup defense, and the 36-year-old figures to see a heavy workload again between the pipes in 2024-25, at least until Spencer Knight demonstrates he's ready for regular NHL action.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: In goal Tuesday

Bobrovsky will get the starting nod at home versus the Bruins on Tuesday, Steve Goldstein of Bally Sports Florida reports. Bobrovsky will guard the cage as the Panthers raise up their Stanley Cup championship banner Tuesday. He will look to continue his strong run of form from last season. Bobrovsky was a Vezina Trophy finalist after posting a 2.37 GAA and a .915 save percentage across 58 regular-season starts last campaign, and the veteran netminder went 16-8 with a 2.32 GAA and .906 save percentage in 24 contests during the 2024 playoffs. Bobrovsky has topped the 50-game mark in each of the last three regular seasons and should do so again this time around while also looking to reach the 35-win threshold for the third time in four years.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Steady in preseason win

Bobrovsky made 26 saves in Saturday's preseason win over the Kings. He got beaten by Phillip Danault in the first period and Trevor Moore in the third, but the Panthers' offense gave Bobrovsky plenty of support in a 4-2 victory. The 36-year-old netminder is coming off his best campaign in years, posting a 2.37 GAA and .915 save percentage in 58 regular-season games before hoisting the Stanley Cup, but Bobrovsky hasn't played 60 or more regular-season games since he got to Florida in 2019-20, and that's unlikely to change in 2024-25.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Tending twine Saturday

Bobrovsky will defend the visiting crease versus LA in Quebec City on Saturday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Bobrovsky will play in his final preseason game before Opening Night on Tuesday against the Bruins. Bobrovsky was outstanding last campaign, going 36-17-4 with a 2.37 GAA and a .915 save percentage in 58 regular-season appearances. He was also 16-8 with a 2.32 GAA in the playoffs to lead the Panthers to a Stanley Cup victory. The 36-year-old veteran could take a step back in 2024-25 because it will be difficult to repeat the success of such a good season.
