Devils' Jakub Malek: Agrees to two-year pact
Malek signed a two-year, two-way contract with New Jersey on Monday.
Malek spent the bulk of the 2025-26 regular season with AHL Utica, posting a 13-14-3 record with a 2.75 GAA and an .895 save percentage in 31 appearances. He also went 1-0-1 with a 1.91 GAA and a .930 save percentage in two regular-season outings with ECHL Adirondack last year. He will probably begin the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

Devils' Jakub Malek: Logs AHL shutout
Malek recorded a 25-save shutout in AHL Utica's 3-0 win over Belleville on Wednesday.
Malek picked up his third shutout of the season and improved to 13-14-3 with a 2.75 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 31 outings. He's won three of his last five contests for the Comets. Nico Daws and Malek figure to close out the season as Utica's goaltending duo.

Devils' Jakub Malek: Returns to AHL
Malek was reassigned to AHL Utica on Wednesday.
Malek was recalled from Utica on Wednesday to serve as a practice goaltender. He was filling in for Jacob Markstrom, who was playing for Team Sweden at the 2026 Winter Olympics. However, Markstrom will rejoin the Devils soon after Sweden's elimination in the quarterfinals.

Devils' Jakub Malek: Called up by New Jersey
Malek was recalled from AHL Utica as a practice goaltender Wednesday.
Malek hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he'll join the Devils for their week of practice before the team resumes play. It seems unlikely that Malek will remain on the roster once the NHL season resumes, as Jacob Markstrom will rejoin the team after competing for Sweden at the Olympics.
