Senators' Oskar Pettersson: Posts hat trick for Belleville
Pettersson scored three goals in AHL Belleville's 7-0 win over Utica on Sunday.
Pettersson was excellent in the lopsided game. The winger had been limited to one assist over his previous 10 outings after a two-goal game versus Manitoba on Nov. 25. Pettersson is now at eight goals and 11 points through 30 AHL contests this season, which has him on pace for a career year despite the inconsistency.

Senators' Oskar Pettersson: Two-goal game in AHL
Pettersson scored twice in AHL Belleville's 5-2 win over Manitoba on Tuesday.
Pettersson hasn't done much in the AHL this year, but he has three goals over his last four games. Overall, he's at seven points, 20 shots on net and a plus-3 rating through 19 appearances. The 2022 third-round pick will likely end up with a career year in his third AHL campaign, but he'll need to show a lot more before he's an option for Ottawa at the NHL level. This is the final year of his entry-level contract.

Senators' Oskar Pettersson: Heads back to minors
Pettersson was loaned to AHL Belleville on Friday.
Pettersson was called up by Ottawa on Wednesday, but he'll officially head back to the minors before the start of the regular season. He recorded nine goals, six assists and 26 PIM over 67 regular-season appearances with Belleville last year.

Senators' Oskar Pettersson: Promoted Wednesday
Pettersson was recalled from AHL Belleville on Wednesday.
Pettersson, who was selected by the Sens in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft, has yet to make his NHL debut despite spending parts of the last two years with AHL Belleville. Given his limited offensive upside, the 21-year-old center tallied just nine goals and six assists in 67 regular-season games last year, he is going to be hard-pressed to see much ice time during the year.
