Connors crossed the 40-point mark for the season with this effort. He's at 15 goals, 41 points and a plus-18 rating over 65 outings this season as an AHL rookie. He also made two regular-season appearances in the NHL, but it could be a while before he's a regular for the Kings.

Connors scored two goals in AHL Ontario's 3-1 win over Abbotsford on Wednesday.
Connors snapped a 16-game goal drought at the AHL level with a first-period tally and added an empty-netter in the third. The 23-year-old is up to 11 goals, 32 points, 96 shots on net and a plus-16 rating through 54 appearances this season. He also made his NHL debut earlier this month, picking up five shots on net and three hits over two contests.

Connors has been recalled from AHL Ontario by the Kings, the team announced Sunday.
Connors has yet to make his NHL debut, serving as depth in a call-up earlier this season right before the Olympic break. The 22-year-old has 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) in 49 games played with AHL Ontario. Barring another injury, he will likely just serve as insurance once again while the Kings attempt to get a bit healthier.
