    Brunet signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract extension with Boston on Monday.

    It's a two-way contract for the 2026-27 season before becoming a one-way agreement for the 2027-28 season. Brunet has produced 11 goals and 28 points in 55 appearances for AHL Providence this campaign. He made his NHL debut with Boston in 2024-25, posting five blocked shots in 14:23 of ice time against New Jersey on April 15, 2025.

    Brunet scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Providence's 6-2 win over Cleveland on Sunday.

    Brunet reached the 20-point mark with this performance, doing so in 36 games this season. He has earned six of those points over his last seven outings. Brunet is five points back of his total from 69 regular-season contests last season, and if he continues his strong play, the 22-year-old could play himself into a call-up.

    Brunet was recalled by Boston on Monday, and he logged 14:23 of ice time Tuesday against the Devils, recording five blocked shots, a hit and a minus-1 rating. However, he'll head back to the AHL now that the Bruins have wrapped up their regular season.
