Golden Knights' Trevor Connelly: Hopes to display NHL readiness

Connelly said Friday that he bulked up and added strength over the summer and hopes to show in camp that he's ready to play in the NHL, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Connelly indicated that he feels stronger and sturdier on the ice, which has allowed him to use his body more and improve the strength of his shot. The 20-year-old hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he was one of the Golden Knights' Black Aces during last year's postseason and aims to showcase the strides he's made in his 200-foot game ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Connelly was brought up from AHL Henderson on Tuesday, according to SinBin.vegas.
Connelly will provide depth for the Golden Knights as they continue their playoff run, but he more than likely will not get into any games. The 2024 first-round selection (No. 19 overall) has yet to make his NHL debut, but that will probably come at some point next season. The 20-year-old played at a high level in the AHL in 2025-26, generating 14 goals and 49 points over 46 regular-season games. Connelly also banked a goal and five helpers across six playoff games for the Silver Knights.
