  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Deposits shortie in win

Johansson scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-2 win over the Predators. Johansson snapped a 13-game point drought with the tally, which was just his second goal of the season. It ended up being the game-winner and his first career shorthanded goal. Johansson has just eight points with 46 shots on net, 44 hits, 84 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 61 appearances, production nearly identical to his nine-point effort from the same number of outings in 2024-25. He's seeing third-pairing minutes and doesn't need to be rostered in most fantasy formats.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Nets first goal of season

Johansson scored a goal, added two PIM and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes. Johansson has picked up the pace with four points over his last 12 games. While that's not a particularly notable scoring rate, that stretch accounts for more than half of his offense this season. He's at seven points, 31 shots on net, 36 hits, 64 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating through 47 appearances while seeing bottom-four minutes.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Records helper in win

Johansson posted an assist and two PIM in Monday's 5-3 win over the Senators. Johansson has three helpers over his last nine contests. That's not much offense, but he was limited to one assist in a 28-game span prior to this uptick in production. The 25-year-old blueliner now has six assists, 29 shots on net, 35 hits, 61 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 44 appearances this season, mainly in a bottom-four role that isn't likely to help him earn fantasy interest.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Ends slump with assist

Johansson notched an assist and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Bruins. Johansson ended a 19-game point drought when he set up James van Riemsdyk's first-period goal. During that span, Johansson also carried a minus-14 rating. He's now at three assists, 22 shots on net, 27 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 27 appearances. While his place in the lineup is steady, the 24-year-old's lack of production across the board will keep him off most fantasy rosters.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Slumping on offense

Johansson's point drought reached 17 games in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Predators. Johansson has gone minus-12 in that span as well, so the lack of offense is being compounded by mediocre defensive play. The 24-year-old blueliner is at two assists, 21 shots on net, 24 hits, 30 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating across 24 appearances this season. That kind of production won't make Johansson an option in most fantasy formats, as even his physical play is too lackluster to help in banger leagues.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Strong defensive effort Saturday

Johansson notched an assist, two shots on goal, a plus-2 rating, three hits and seven blocked shots in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Lightning. Johansson ended a six-game point drought with the helper. The 24-year-old defenseman has played in all but one game in January while Jeff Petry (undisclosed) is on injured reserve. Johansson has just four points with 25 shots on net, 27 hits, 40 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 28 appearances. He's unlikely to be a factor in fantasy given his limited offense, but he can rack up defensive stats when he gets playing time.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: First career goal is game-winner

Johansson scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Friday's 5-3 win over the Blackhawks. Johansson has played in three straight games, filling in for Jeff Petry (undisclosed), who is on injured reserve. The 24-year-old Johansson has been a part-time player as a rookie in 2024-25. His tally Friday was his first career goal and second point over 20 appearances, and it stood as the game-winning tally. He's added just 17 shots on net, 26 blocked shots, 15 hits and a minus-7 rating in a bottom-four role when he plays.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Earns first career point in win

Johansson logged an assist and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Islanders. Johansson has filled a rotational role on the Red Wings' third pairing this season. The 23-year-old defenseman picked up his first NHL point in his 11th appearance, assisting Dylan Larkin on a game-tying goal in the third period. Johansson has added 11 shots on net, 10 hits, 16 blocks and a minus-4 rating. He'll continue to compete with Erik Gustafsson and Justin Holl for limited minutes, as the Red Wings have leaned heavily on their top four in most games.
