Kings' Erik Portillo: Sent back down
Portillo was loaned to AHL Ontario on Friday.
Portillo was called up by Los Angeles on Thursday, but he'll head back to the minors a day later. He'll presumably be available for Ontario's weekend series against Tucson and will likely stay with the Reign once the NHL season resumes.

Kings' Kirill Kirsanov: Sent down Friday
Kirsanov was loaned to AHL Ontario on Friday.
Kirsanov will head back to the minors a day after being called up by the Kings, and he'll presumably be available for Ontario's weekend series against Tucson. It wouldn't be surprising to see Kirsanov remain with the Reign once the NHL season resumes.

Kings' Erik Portillo: Called up from AHL
Portillo was summoned from AHL Ontario on Thursday.
The Kings need two goaltenders at practice, and with Darcy Kuemper with Team Canada at the Winter Olympics the team recalled Portillo to participate in practice with Anton Forsberg. Portillo has starred with the AHL Reign this season, posting a 13-3-1 mark with a 2.45 GAA and a .905 save percentage across 19 appearances.

Kings' Kirill Kirsanov: Called up Thursday
Kirsanov was recalled from AHL Ontario on Thursday.
Kirsanov hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he'll join the Kings for practice during the final week of the Olympic break. Across 47 appearances with the Reign this year, he's recorded four goals, seven assists, six PIM and a plus-8 rating. It wouldn't be surprising to see him return to the minors before the Kings resume play against Vegas on Wednesday.

Kings' Pheonix Copley: Sent back to AHL
Copley was loaned to AHL Ontario on Wednesday.
Copley was recalled by the Kings earlier in the day and had an opportunity to practice with the NHL club, but his move back to the minors will allow him to continue appearing in games for the Reign. Over 24 appearances with Ontario this year, Copley has gone 13-11-0 with a 2.95 GAA and .890 save percentage.

Kings' Mikey Anderson: Slated to play after Olympic break
Anderson (upper body) should be available once the Olympic break is over, Anthony Collazo of MayorsManor.com reports Wednesday.
The Kings will resume their schedule next Wednesday against Vegas. While it looks like Anderson will draw back into the lineup for that game, he needs to be activated off injured reserve before that can happen. The 26-year-old has two goals, nine points, 14 PIM, 59 hits and 77 blocks in 54 appearances this season. Jacob Moverare will probably be a healthy scratch versus the Golden Knights if Anderson is back in the lineup.

Kings' Kevin Fiala: On injured reserve
Fiala (lower leg fracture) was put on injured reserve Wednesday.
Fiala is expected to miss the remainder of the Kings' regular season after sustaining the injury while playing for Switzerland during the 2026 Winter Olympics. He has 18 goals and 40 points in 56 outings with the Kings in 2025-26. Fiala might still be an option for the playoffs, but in the meantime, placing him on IR frees a roster spot for LA.

Kings' Pheonix Copley: Recalled by Los Angeles
Copley was recalled from AHL Ontario on Wednesday.
Copley was sent to the minors at the end of December, but he'll have an opportunity to practice with the Kings during the final week of the Olympic break. It seems likely that Copley will head back to the AHL once Darcy Kuemper rejoins Los Angeles after the Olympics.

Kings' Vojtech Cihar: Nets two goals for Kelowna
Cihar scored twice on eight shots in WHL Kelowna's 7-2 win over Tri-City on Monday.
Cihar has scored five goals over his last four games. He's on a five-game point streak, his longest so far in the WHL. The Kings prospect is at a total of 15 points, 43 shots on net and a plus-3 rating for the Rockets since joining the team after the World Junior Championship.

Kings' Jan Chovan: Hat trick, assist in OHL win
Chovan scored three goals and added an assist in OHL Sudbury's 6-2 win over Niagara on Monday.
Chovan is rolling with eight points over his last five games. For the season, the Kings prospect is at 20 goals, 21 helpers, 128 shots on net and a minus-26 rating in his first OHL campaign. A sixth-round pick in 2025, Chovan has made a good first impression in North America after putting up decent numbers in the Finnish junior system.

Kings' Aatu Jamsen: Nets two goals in AHL loss
Jamsen scored two goals in AHL Ontario's 5-3 loss to Abbotsford on Monday.
Jamsen has looked pretty good lately with six goals and one assist over his last nine outings. The forward is up to 21 points, 51 shots on net and 22 PIM through 46 appearances. He's in his second campaign with Ontario after signing his entry-level deal in May of 2024.

Kings' Kevin Fiala: Not ruled out for postseason
Fiala (lower leg fracture) will be reevaluated at the end of the regular season, the Kings announced Sunday.
Fiala has not yet been ruled out of the playoffs, though the Kings are in a precarious position, sitting three points out of a playoff spot at the Olympic break. Fiala sustained a lower-leg fracture Friday in Switzerland's Olympic group-stage game versus Canada, and the injury required surgery. Expect the Kings to place Fiala on long-term injured reserve eventually to free up some cap space. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues can cut Fiala at this point since he won't be back before mid-April at the earliest.

Kings' Kevin Fiala: Done for season
Fiala (leg) had surgery Saturday and will be out for the remainder of the season, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Fiala sustained the injury in the third period against Canada on Friday after getting tangled up with Tom Wilson in the Swiss zone. Fiala was carted off the ice on a stretcher with three minutes remaining in the contest. There is no timeline for his return, and the exact nature of the surgery remains unclear, but the hope is that he will be ready for the start of training camp in September. Fiala had 18 goals and 22 points in 56 appearances with the Kings this season.

Kings' Jan Chovan: Scores twice for Sudbury
Chovan scored two goals in OHL Sudbury's 4-1 win over Brampton on Friday.
Chovan had gone four games without a multi-point effort, his longest such stretch since December. He's up to 17 goals and 37 points through 46 appearances. The Kings prospect remains a positive part of Sudbury's offense, though the team's struggles have shown up in his minus-28 rating this season.

Kings' Henry Brzustewicz: Three points in London's win
Brzustewicz scored a goal on nine shots and added two assists in OHL London's 4-3 shootout win over Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.
Brzustewicz showed off some offense in this contest, which was just his second three-point outing of the season. Both have come over the last 12 games, a span in which he has four goals and 13 helpers. For the season, the Kings prospect is at 16 goals, 40 points and a minus-19 rating over 45 appearances, showing mixed results as his offense has grown but his defense has suffered.

Kings' James Reeder: Pots pair Friday
Reeder scored twice in the University of Denver's 5-2 win over the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Friday.
Reeder is up to eight goals and a career-best 23 points in 32 appearances for the Pioneers this season. He had 21 points in 44 outings as a freshman last year. The Kings prospect has slowed down in the second half of the campaign but continues to show growth in his sophomore season.

Kings' Kevin Fiala: Will miss remainder of Olympics
Fiala (leg) picked up an injury in Switzerland's 5-1 loss to Canada on Friday and will miss the remainder of the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Fiala had to leave the ice three minutes before the end of regulation after a collision with Canada's Tom Wilson. Switzerland will have to move forward without Fiala, who played on the team's top line alongside New Jersey's Nico Hischier and Timo Meier to begin the tournament. It remains to be seen whether Fiala will be out for an extended period of time beyond the Olympics. The 29-year-old winger has posted 18 goals, 22 assists and 147 shots on goal across 56 games with Los Angeles this season. If he misses time beyond the Olympics, the Kings' offense might have to ease the newly-acquired Artemi Panarin into the system without one of the team's top weapons.

Kings' Kevin Fiala: Stretchered off ice
Fiala was taken off the ice on a stretcher after sustaining an apparent left leg injury during Switzerland's game against Canada on Friday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Fiala sustained his injury when he got tangled up with Tom Wilson in the third period of Friday's matchup. It's not yet clear how Fiala's injury will impact his status for the remainder of the Olympics or for the Kings once the NHL resumes play in late February. Over 56 appearances with Los Angeles to begin the year, he's recorded 18 goals, 22 assists, 39 hits, 34 PIM and 24 blocked shots while averaging 19:07 of ice time.

Kings' Koehn Ziemmer: Doubles goal count with hat trick
Ziemmer scored three goals in AHL Ontario's 4-3 win over Bakersfield on Saturday.
Ziemmer had come into this game a bit cold with just two assists over his previous eight games. Even with the hat trick, he has just six goals and 16 points through 34 outings this season. This is the 21-year-old's first professional campaign, and it'll be at least a couple of years before he's competing for NHL minutes regularly.

Kings' Joe Hicketts: Sent to AHL
Hicketts was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Friday.
Hicketts was called up for a pair of games, but he was a healthy scratch in both contests. Hicketts will link back up with the Reign, with whom he had three goals and 11 assists across 41 AHL contests before his recall.
