Predators' Juuse Saros: Facing Canada
Saros will patrol the Finnish crease versus Canada in semifinals action Friday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Ethan Sears of the New York Post.
Saros gave up three goals on 24 shots in a loss to Slovakia, but the 30-year-old has been outstanding since then while turning aside 70 of 73 shots to enable Finland to make it to the semifinals. Canada enters the game as the favorite, but will be without the services of Sidney Crosby (lower body).

Predators' Matt Murray: Called up by Nashville
Murray was recalled from AHL Milwaukee on Thursday.
The Predators have resumed practicing during the final week of the Olympic break, and Murray's recall will allow him to serve as the team's goaltender during practice until Juuse Saros returns from the Olympics. However, Murray will presumably head back to the Admirals ahead of Nashville's game against Chicago on Feb. 26. Over 29 appearances with Milwaukee this year, Murray has gone 12-14-2 with a 2.86 GAA and .904 save percentage.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Beaten twice but earns OT win
Saros stopped 21 of 23 shots in Finland's 3-2 overtime win over Switzerland in the Olympic quarterfinals Wednesday.
Saros allowed two goals in the first period, with both goals coming within a span of 1:26, but he was excellent the rest of the way. Saros is expected to remain the starter for Finland in a tough matchup against Canada on Friday in the semifinals.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Drawing start against Switzerland
Saros will start for Finland during Wednesday's quarterfinal matchup against Switzerland at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
After a shaky start to the Olympics in which he allowed three goals on 24 shots in a loss to Slovakia, Saros has settled down over his last two outings, turning aside 49 of the 50 shots he's seen in starts against Sweden and Italy. Saros will attempt to remain hot Wednesday in an attempt to propel Finland to the semifinals.

Predators' Alex Huang: Five points in Sunday's win
Huang scored a goal and added four assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 9-1 win over Rimouski on Sunday.
Huang had gone 14 games without a multi-point effort, spanning all of January and February prior to Sunday. This was his second five-point performance of the season. The Nashville prospect has matched his career high of eight goals and has 53 points and a plus-36 rating through 48 appearances this season.

Predators' Roman Josi: One of each against Czechia
Josi scored a goal, distributed an assist and placed three shots on net in Switzerland's 4-3 overtime win over Czechia in Olympic round-robin play Sunday.
Josi stole the show in the second period with both of his points occurring late in the period. He struck the back of the net to level the score at 1-1 before sliding the primary helper on Timo Meier's power-play goal to give Switzerland a 2-1 lead headed into the third period. Across round-robin play, Josi is up to three points and eight shots on net across three games. He'll likely be relied upon for more consistent offense if Switzerland is to advance beyond the first round of bracket play in the Olympic tournament.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Busy netminder at Olympics
Saros made 15 saves Saturday in Team Finland's 11-0 win over Team Italy at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
Saros backstopped Finland to a 4-1 win over Sweden on Friday. Finland is now in a strong position to earn the wild card with a plus-11 goal differential, and that would mean a bye to the quarterfinals. Saros has played 178:49 in the tournament, the most of any netminder. He's 2-1-0 with a 1.34 GAA and a .946 save percentage through three games at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Sharp in win over Sweden
Saros made 34 saves in Finland's 4-1 win over Sweden in Olympic round-robin action Friday.
A Rasmus Dahlin power-play tally was the only puck to get past Saros in an impressive performance. The Predators netminder has allowed four goals on 59 shots through two Olympic outings, but he could get a breather Saturday against Italy, with Joonas Korpisalo or Kevin Lankinen getting the nod for Finland instead.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Facing Sweden
Saros will be between the pipes versus Sweden on Friday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Finnish reporter Ville Touro.
Saros will make his second start for Finland after allowing three goals on 24 shots in a 4-1 loss to Slovakia on Wednesday. Saros is 21-17-5 with a 3.20 GAA and an .892 save percentage across 44 appearances for Nashville this season. It's a must-win game for the Finns against their archrivals from Sweden, as another loss will severely hurt their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Gives up three in Olympic debut
Saros stopped 21 of 24 shots in Finland's 4-1 loss to Slovakia on Wednesday in the preliminary round of the 2026 Winter Olympics. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Saros was beaten twice by Juraj Slafkovsky and once by Dalibor Dvorsky before Adam Ruzicka closed things out late in the third with an empty-netter. Joonas Korpisalo and Kevin Lankinen are the other goalies on the Finnish roster, with their next game coming against Sweden on Friday.

Predators' Juuse Saros: Set to face Slovakia
Saros will be between the pipes for Team Finland's game against Slovakia on Wednesday in the preliminary round of the 2026 Winter Olympics, Shawn Roarke of NHL.com reports.
As expected, Saros will get the starting nod over Joonas Korpisalo and Kevin Lankinen. The 30-year-old Saros has been struggling of late with the Predators, allowing at least three goals in nine straight games while going 4-2-2 in that span. The Finns are heavy favorites heading into Wednesday's matchup against the Slovaks -- the disparity in the talent up front between the two teams is substantial.

Predators' Cameron Reid: Racks up three assists
Reid notched three assists in OHL Kitchener's 6-2 win over Guelph on Friday.
Reid had gone eight games without a multi-point effort, earning two goals and three assists in that span. The defenseman is at a point-per-game pace after Friday's performance, with 12 goals and 28 assists through 40 contests this season. That's the best pace of his career, and it's a positive sign as the 18-year-old continues to develop in the OHL.

Predators' Reid Schaefer: Returned to Milwaukee
Schaefer was loaned to AHL Milwaukee on Friday.
Schaefer has played 27 games in his first season in the NHL, tallying four goals and adding two assists. The 22-year-old, who was selected 32nd overall in the opening round of the 2022 NHL Draft, will get in some extra playing time with the Admirals, with whom he had six goals and 12 assists in 21 appearances earlier in the season.

Predators' Michael McCarron: Buries another goal
McCarron scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Capitals.
McCarron has three goals over his last five games. That's a pretty good pace for a defensive forward, though it won't last. He's up to five goals, 12 points, 83 shots on net, 157 hits, 56 blocked shots, 69 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 56 appearances this season. McCarron needs two more points to match his 74-game total from last year.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Warming trend continues
Marchessault scored a goal in a 4-2 loss to the Capitals on Thursday.
Marchessault's overall numbers (10 goals, seven assists; 38 games) fail to impress. But there has been some warmth to this game during this cold January and February. Marchessault has seven points, including three goals, in his last eight games. He has 27 shots in that span.

Predators' Adam Wilsby: Five apples in last six games
Wilsby delivered two assists Thursday in a 4-2 loss to Washington.
Willsby has five assists and 10 shots in his last six games. He has no goals in 19 games and just one on the season (43 games). Willsby is not a significant contributor in muscle categories, so his deep-league value is slim to none.

Predators' Justus Annunen: Scuffles continue
Annunen made 26 saves in a 4-2 loss to the Capitals on Thursday.
Annunen is 5-7-2 with a 3.23 GAA and .886 save percentage in 13 starts (18 appearances) this season. He doesn't get enough games behind Juuse Saros to make him an appealing option in net, and his ratios make him a sketchy spot starter in daily formats. Annunen is 1-2-1 in his last three starts (five appearances). He allowed 14 goals in those three starts, including a seven-goal debacle against Vegas on Jan. 17.
