Predators' Ryan O'Reilly: Finds helper in overtime win
O'Reilly provided an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
O'Reilly helped out on a Zachary L'Heureux goal in the first period. O'Reilly has five points in as many contests since he returned from a lower-body injury. The center has been on the second line since he returned, as Steven Stamkos moved to the first line in O'Reilly's absence and has turned a corner for the Predators. O'Reilly is at seven goals, 12 assists, 51 shots on net, 28 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 31 appearances.

Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Finds twine in overtime win
L'Heureux scored a goal on three shots and added five hits in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
L'Heureux has picked up two goals and two assists over his last seven games. That corresponds with his move to the second line alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Gustav Nyquist, who had the helpers on his first-period goal. L'Heureux isn't an established name yet at just 21 years old, but he's fared well in his first NHL action. He has four goals, five assists, 34 shots on net, 88 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 29 appearances, giving him some speculative value in deep formats.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Six-game, eight-point streak
Marchessault scored a goal Saturday in a 3-2 overtime win over Los Angeles.
Marchessault has scored in three consecutive games (three goals) and has eight points (five goals, three assists) during a six-game point streak. The streak has bumped his season totals to 10 goals and 11 assists in 34 games. Marchessault was among many veteran players the Preds brought to Nashville in the offseason, and it has taken time for them to find their games. The team is still struggling to win, but Marchessault's streak could be a signal that things are about to improve. Sooner or later, the team's scorers will score, and he's showing the way right now.

Predators' Roman Josi: Assist in return from injury
Josi had one assist and two shots on goal in 26:25 of ice time in Saturday's 3-2 overtime victory over Los Angeles.
Josi deked around Kings defender Kyle Burroughs in the left circle and took a step before dishing to Jonathan Marchessault for a tap-in goal at the top of the crease. Josi is an elite fantasy defender, but his minus-21 is a weight that's tough to carry in formats that count that stat. Nashville has struggled to prevent and score goals this season, and that didn't change during Josi's four-game absence due to a lower-body injury. Nashville has the fewest wins (10) in the NHL, and the team's minus-26 goal differential is second worst in the league.

Predators' Justus Annunen: Showing strengths in new role
Annunen made 22 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over Los Angeles on Saturday.
Annunen held a shutout until the 9:24 mark of the third when Quinton Byfield rifled a snap shot past him from the slot. A few minutes later, Alex Laferriere stuffed in a rebound with the extra attacker on the ice during a delayed penalty. Annunen has been excellent in a backup role in Nashville. He is 2-1-0 with a 1.67 GAA and a .944 save percentage in three games. Annunen has plenty of upside as a spot starter but still could be used sparingly behind Juuse Saros.

Predators' Nick Blankenburg: First goal of season
Blankenburg scored the game-winning goal Saturday in a 3-2 overtime vctory over the Kings.
Blankenburg found the rebound from Filip Forsberg's shot below the goal line, moved it to his backhand and stuffed it into an open net. It was Blankenburg's first goal (and point) with the Predators after signing with the team as a free agent on July 1. Still, he has limited fantasy upside.

Predators' Filip Forsberg: Third straight multi-point game
Forsberg delivered two assists in a 3-2 overtime win over the Kings on Saturday.
Forsberg has three consecutive two-point performances and a four-game point streak. He has put up 17 shots in that span but hasn't found the back of the net. Forsberg has gone 12 games without a goal. He has produced 20 points in 17 games at Bridgestone Arena compared to six points across 17 road outings. For now, stream Forsberg in games and weeks that weigh more heavily in the comforts of home.

Predators' Justus Annunen: Guarding goal Saturday
Annunen will protect the home net against the Kings on Saturday, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.
Annunen has stopped 62 of 65 shots en route to a 1-1-0 record with Nashville since being acquired from Colorado. He has posted a mark of 7-5-0 with a 2.91 GAA and an .890 save percentage through 13 appearances this season. Los Angeles is tied for 11th in the league with 3.16 goals per game in 2024-25.

Predators' Roman Josi: Removed from IR
Josi (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Josi should return to the top pairing and first power-play unit in Saturday's matchup versus the Kings after missing the last four games. He has amassed seven goals, 23 points, 86 shots on net, 52 blocked shots and 32 hits through 29 appearances this campaign.

Predators' Luke Schenn: Gets on scoresheet with assist
Schenn posted an assist, two hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
The helper was Schenn's 200th career point, which isn't bad considering his role as a physical shutdown defenseman. He ended a 27-game point drought with the assist, which was just his second point through 33 contests. Schenn has done his usual work elsewhere, contributing 128 hits, 46 blocked shots, 27 PIM and 41 shots on net while occupying a bottom-four role.

Predators' Gustav Nyquist: Generates helper Thursday
Nyquist notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Nyquist has two helpers over four contests since he missed a game due to an illness. He has just three assists over 13 games since his last goal. The 35-year-old winger is playing on the second line after the Predators shuffled their top six, with Ryan O'Reilly as his center and a rotating cast of wingers on the opposite side, most recently Zachary L'Heureux. Nyquist has just 12 points with 36 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 32 appearances in 2024-25, so he's not a particularly strong player for fantasy purposes.

Predators' Luke Evangelista: Buries power-play tally
Evangelista scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Evangelista has scored twice and added an assist over his last five contests. His goal Thursday was his first power-play point since Oct. 25. The 22-year-old winger has four goals, nine helpers, 61 shots on net, 12 hits, 12 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 31 appearances. Evangelista is likely to remain in a middle-six role throughout the campaign, as he hasn't scored enough to justify a move up the lineup.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Opens scoring in overtime loss
Marchessault scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Marchessault has four goals and three assists during his five-game point streak. It doesn't look like the Predators will be breaking up the top line of Marchessault, Steven Stamkos and Filip Forsberg any time soon, as the trio has breathed some life into the offense. Marchessault has nine goals, 20 points, 99 shots on net, 52 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 33 outings.

Predators' Steven Stamkos: Scores goal Thursday
Stamkos scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Stamkos extended his point streak to five games (two goals, four assists) with the second-period tally, which put Nashville ahead 3-1. The forward has clicked since moving to the top line between Filip Forsberg and Jonathan Marchessault. Stamkos is up to nine goals, 19 points, 77 shots on net, 28 hits, 21 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 33 appearances. Still, he'd have to go on a massive run to avoid missing the point-per-game mark for the first time since 2020-21 and the first time in a full-length season since 2015-16.

Predators' Justin Barron: At practice Friday
Barron (not injury related) has joined his new team on the ice for Friday's practice session, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Barron wasn't able to join the Predators in time to face the Penguins on Thursday but could be in line to make his Nashville debut in Saturday's clash with the Kings after Marc Del Gaizo and Kevin Gravel were both sent down to AHL Milwaukee on Friday. Still, if Roman Josi (lower body) is activated off injured reserve, Barron could find himself relegated to the press box -- much like he often was during his time with Montreal.

Predators' Kevin Gravel: Returned to Milwaukee
Gravel was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Friday.
Gravel was a healthy scratch Thursday after playing the last three games with the Predators. Gravel had one assist, a plus-2 rating and four hits and blocks in his brief callup with the Predators. Gravel had a goal and five points in 20 AHL appearances before his recall.

Predators' Marc Del Gaizo: Sent to AHL
Del Gaizo was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Friday.
Del Gaizo appeared in the Predators' last five games, racking up 12 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-1 rating while averaging 16:40 of ice time. It wouldn't be surprising to see him rejoin Nashville at some point, but Friday's move could signal that Roman Josi (lower body) or Justin Barron (recently traded) will be able to play soon.

Predators' Brady Skjei: Snaps nine-game point drought
Skjei had a goal and assist in a 5-4 overtime loss to Pittsburgh on Thursday.
He had gone nine games without a point and 24 without a goal. Skjei has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 33 games, so it's unlikely he gets back to his career mark of 47 points set last season. The gaps in Skjei's offense are simply too far apart to offer managers any value.
