Lightning's Emil Lilleberg: Slides assist Tuesday
Lilleberg registered an assist, two shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets.
Lilleberg has two helpers over his last 10 contests. The 23-year-old defenseman has occasionally chipped in on offense, but he's not as proficient in that area. He remains listed on the third pairing, but the absence of J.J. Moser (lower body) looks to be opening the door for Lilleberg to see more ice time -- he's been over 16 minutes in six straight games. The Norwegian blueliner has eight helpers, 16 shots on net, 30 PIM, 23 blocked shots and 48 hits through 26 appearances.

Lightning's Luke Glendening: Opens scoring Tuesday
Glendening scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets.
Glendening opened the scoring at 3:21 of the first period. He has four points over his last 10 contests, though his offense remains limited in a fourth-line role. Overall, the veteran center is at four points, 20 shots on net, 37 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 29 appearances in a defense-first role.

Lightning's Brayden Point: Deposits empty-netter
Point scored an empty-net goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets.
For much of the game, it didn't look like the Lightning's top line would need to get involved. The Blue Jackets then scored three times in the third period, and Point answered with the empty-netter, extending his point streak to six games (five goals, 11 assists). The 28-year-old center is cruising at a career-best pace with 21 goals, 16 assists, 59 shots on net and a plus-6 rating over 25 appearances. He's also shooting 35.6 percent, and while he's been over 20 percent in the last two seasons, he could regress a bit as the campaign progresses.

Lightning's Declan Carlile: Heads to AHL
Carlile was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.
Carlile was summoned from the minors Tuesday, but he ended up being a healthy scratch for the Lightning's 5-3 victory over Columbus because Victor Hedman (lower body) was able to play. Carlile might still be recalled before Thursday's tilt against St. Louis -- Tampa Bay has just six healthy defensemen on its roster after sending him down.

Lightning's Victor Hedman: Back in the saddle in win
Hedman (lower body) played 22:22 in his return to action Tuesday in a 5-3 win over Columbus.
Hedman fired one shot, blocked two shots and laid one hit in his return. Get him back in your lineup. Hedman has 25 points, including 21 helpers, in just 27 games in 2024-25. He could challenge for another 70-plus point season this year.

Lightning's Mitchell Chaffee: First-ever power-play point
Chaffee scored a power-play goal Tuesday in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets.
It stood as the winner. It was Chaffee's first point across his past six appearances and his first power-play point of his NHL career. The bottom-six forward has 10 points in 25 games this season while averaging 13:11. Chaffee had a great night, but that doesn't make him fantasy worthy.

Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Fourth win in last five starts
Vasilevskiy made 28 saves in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
The game was tighter than the score; the Bolts scored into an empty net to seal the win. Vasilevskiy has won two straight and four of his last five, and he now sits with a 14-9-1 record, 2.44 GAA and .910 save percentage. We love his game, but we don't love his lack of a safety net, and both the Bolts and fantasy managers may eventually pay for that. Vasilevskiy has started 24 of the Bolts' 29 games, in large part because the team doesn't trust backup Jonas Johansson. The team needs to do something to ensure Vasy isn't exhausted by this workload.

Lightning's Nick Paul: Three-point outburst
Paul had a goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over Columbus on Tuesday.
It was a big night for Paul, who started the season with an outstanding October (nine points in 10 games) but had struggled to rebound after missing time with an injury. This game snapped a four-game scoreless streak. Paul is a decent mid-level fantasy contributor in deep formats, that is if this game signals a return to his potential. He won't often put up big games, but he can deliver secondary scoring.

Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Goal streak now at seven games
Guentzel scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-3 win over Columbus on Tuesday.
Guentzel pushed the Bolts up 3-0 in the second period when he stuffed in his own rebound from in tight. It was his seventh straight game with a goal and ninth in that span (three assists). Guentzel added another five shots to his stat pack Tuesday, which gives him 29 on this run and 84 in 29 games this season. He's on pace for his first-ever 50-goal season and mid-90s point total. Steven Stamkos who? Guentzel has been an exceptional signing and a great fit on the ice with the Bolts and on your squad, too.

Lightning's Victor Hedman: Set to play
Hedman (lower body) will play against Columbus on Tuesday, according to Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com.
Hedman will return to the top pairing and first power-play unit after missing the last two games. He has generated four goals, 25 points, 64 shots on net and 47 blocked shots across 26 appearances this season. With Hedman back in the lineup, Declan Carlile will be a healthy scratch versus the Blue Jackets.

Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Exits ice first Tuesday
Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off the ice Tuesday, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports, indicating he'll tend the twine at home against Columbus.
Vasilevskiy comes into Tuesday's matchup with some extra rest after getting the night off versus the Kraken on Saturday. In his last five outings, the 30-year-old backstop went 3-2-0 with a 2.45 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Even with his recent inconsistencies. Vasilevskiy should continue to see the majority of the start for the Lightning ahead of Jonas Johansson.

Lightning's J.J. Moser: Dealing with lower-body problem
Moser is considered week-to-week due to a lower-body injury, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports Tuesday.
Moser was already placed on injured reserve, so his recovery timeline shouldn't come as a surprise. The team did recall Declan Carlile from the minors to provide some defensive depth but could get back Victor Hedman (lower body) against the Jackets on Tuesday. For his part, Moser was poised to reach the 25-point mark for the third straight year and still could if he avoids missing too much time.

Lightning's Victor Hedman: Game-time call Tuesday
Hedman (lower body) will be a game-time decision versus Columbus on Tuesday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Hedman looks poised to return following a two-game stint on the shelf due to his lower-body problem. Prior to his absence, the veteran blueliner was stuck in a 10-game goal drought but racked up nine helpers during that stretch, including four with the man advantage. Look for Hedman to rejoin the No. 1 power-play unit if given the all-clear ahead of puck drop Tuesday.

Lightning's Declan Carlile: Promoted from minors
Carlile was elevated from AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.
With J.J. Moser (undisclosed) on injured reserve and Victor Hedman (lower body) still questionable, the Bolts could be forced to utilize Carlile against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. In his previous appearance for Tampa this season, the 24-year-old Carlile scored a goal on one shot despite just 11:10 of ice time versus the Kraken on Dec. 14. If he does play Tuesday, Carlile figures to slot into a third-pairing role while Darren Raddysh or Emil Lilleberg could see more minutes.

Lightning's Steve Santini: Sent down to minors
Santini was assigned to AHL Syracuse on Sunday.
Santini was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 5-1 win over Seattle after playing in Thursday's 8-3 victory versus Calgary. The Lightning also returned Declan Carlile to the minors. It's unclear if the moves were to save money on the salary cap or if Victor Hedman (lower body) will be ready to return against Columbus on Tuesday.

Lightning's Declan Carlile: Assigned to AHL
Carlile was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Sunday.
Carlile made his NHL season debut in Saturday's 5-1 win over Seattle, scoring a goal and blocking two shots in 11:10 of playing time. The Lightning also sent Steve Santini to the minors, which could bode well for the availability of Victor Hedman (lower body) ahead of Tuesday's game versus Columbus. However, the demotions may be for salary cap purposes.

Lightning's Nick Perbix: Notches helper in win
Perbix recorded an assist in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Kraken.
Perbix has been pressed into top-four duties amid a rash of injuries to the Lightning defense. The team was without Victor Hedman (lower body) and J.J. Moser (undisclosed) for this contest, so Perbix played on the second pairing, with his 21:54 of ice time being his most since Nov. 7 versus the Flyers. The 26-year-old is at eight points, 29 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, 20 hits and a plus-4 rating over 23 contests. Perbix has mostly been limited to third-pairing duties with no power-play time, so he has low upside in fantasy.

Lightning's Luke Glendening: Finds helper late in win
Glendening logged an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Kraken.
Glendening ended a five-game slump when he set up Declan Carlile's third-period tally. The 35-year-old Glendening has been limited on offense while playing in a fourth-line role throughout this season. He's up to three points, 18 shots on net, 36 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 28 appearances. That lack of offense is enough to send fantasy managers searching elsewhere for depth forwards.
