  • Ray allowed three runs (one earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Sunday. Ray was inefficient, exiting the game at 86 pitches (53 strikes). He had walked a total of 14 batters over 27 innings across his previous four starts, and he's gone six outings without allowing more than three runs. For the season, the southpaw is at a 3.33 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 96:54 K:BB through 110.2 innings over 20 games (19 starts). He's projected to make his next start at home in a favorable matchup versus the Angels.

  • Ray allowed one run on four hits and six walks while striking out four over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Friday. Even by his standards, this was a poor showing in the command department for Ray, who threw just 53 of 100 pitches for strikes. It snapped his four-game winning streak, but he still hasn't allowed more than three runs in each of his last five outings. For the season, Ray is at a 3.38 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 90:52 K:BB through 106.2 innings over 19 games (18 starts). He's done well with run prevention this season considering his 4.4 BB/9 is second-worst in the majors, better than only Joey Cantillo.

  • Ray (8-6) earned the win over Colorado on Saturday, completing six innings and allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four batters. All of the runs Ray surrendered came on a Cole Carrigg three-run homer in the first inning. The lefty hurler bounced back nicely after that rough first frame, retiring 14 of the final 18 batters he faced. Ray registered his fourth consecutive win and quality start, though this was his least effective outing during that stretch. He now has a 3.45 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 86:46 K:BB over 101.2 innings spanning 18 appearances this year.

  • Ray (7-6) allowed one unearned run on four hits and a walk while striking out two over eight innings to earn the win over Atlanta on Sunday. Ray has not allowed an earned run in his last three games, giving up just two unearned runs on eight hits and seven walks over his last 22.1 innings. He's won all three of those outings, and he gave up just seven runs (five earned) across 33 innings in June. For the season, the southpaw has a 3.39 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 82:43 K:BB across 95.2 innings through 17 appearances (16 starts). Ray's next outing is projected to be on the road in Colorado. He gave up three runs (one earned) over just four innings May 31 at Coors Field.
