Turner put the Phillies ahead 4-2 with his first home run off Taj Bradley in the third inning before cranking another two-run shot off Edwin Uceta in the eighth to cap the Phillies' five-run frame. Turner had gone just 1-for-10 in his previous three games prior to Tuesday's three-hit, four-RBI performance. The shortstop is now slashing .299/.345/.474 across 467 plate appearances this season with 18 homers, 55 RBI, 78 runs scored and 15 stolen bases.

Turner went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Friday's win over Miami. Turner was one of four Phillies with three hits in the 16-2 thrashing of the Marlins. He wasted no time making an impact early; Turner singled and scored in the first inning before drilling a two-run shot in the second. He later added an RBI double and another run scored in the fifth. Turner has gone 17-for-54 (.315) over his last 13 games, driving his season slash line up to .300/.347/.467 with 38 extra-base hits and 15 steals through 100 games.

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-0 win over Atlanta. Turner made decent contact in August, going 28-for-112 (.250) over 27 contests for the month, but just eight of those hits went for extra bases. This homer was his fourth over the last 38 games, matching the amount of long balls he hit in the week before the All-Star break. The shortstop is now at a .299/.343/.462 slash line with 15 homers, 48 RBI, 70 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and 20 doubles over 95 contests this season.

All three of his hits were singles in this contest, but he also delivered multiple RBI for the third time in his last 14 games. The shortstop got his batting average back over .300 -- he's hitting .302 with an .810 OPS, 14 home runs, 46 RBI, 67 runs scored and 14 stolen bases across 88 contests this season.

Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins. Turner went 2-for-16 at the dish over the Phillies' last four games and hadn't had a day off since July 31, so manager Rob Thomson will give the veteran shortstop a chance to regroup before Philadelphia opens a four-game series with Washington on Thursday. Edmundo Sosa will replace Turner at shortstop and bat seventh.
