  • Anderson signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Wednesday that includes an invitation to big-league spring training, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports. Anderson made 12 appearances in the majors for Colorado in 2025, turning in a 6.14 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 14.2 innings. He'll receive a chance to redeem himself during spring training with the A's, but he'll most likely report to Triple-A Las Vegas to begin the 2026 season.

  • Anderson agreed to a minor-league contract with the Mariners on Sunday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports. The veteran right-hander elected free agency after the Rockies demoted him to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, and it didn't take long for him to latch on with a new organization. Anderson hadn't pitched well for Colorado with a 6.14 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB across 14.2 innings, so he'll likely need to find some success at Triple-A Tacoma with his new organization before potentially earning a call-up to the Mariners later on in September.

Anderson will give up his spot on the active roster to German Marquez (biceps), who was reinstated from the injured list to start Friday's game against the Cubs. He'll head back to Albuquerque having posted a 3.29 ERA and a 10:2 K:BB across 13.2 innings for the Rockies this season.

The Rockies recalled Anderson from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday. The right-hander was demoted to Triple-A on Monday but is back with the Rockies with Seth Halvorsen (elbow) landing on the injured list in a corresponding move. Anderson surrendered five earned runs over one innings during his lone appearance with Colorado following his call-up in late July.
