The KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization signed Sauer to a one-year, $950,000 contract Thursday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. Sauer made one start and 23 relief appearances between the Royals and Dodgers over the past two seasons, posting a 6.85 ERA and 33:19 K:BB over 46 innings. The righty was used as a starting pitcher at Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2025, and the Wiz intend to use him in their rotation.

Sauer signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Thursday. Sauer was released by the Dodgers on Sept. 11, but it didn't take long for him to rejoin the organization. He's posted a 6.37 ERA and 1.45 WHIP across 29.2 innings in the majors.

The Dodgers released Sauer on Wednesday. Sauer cleared waivers after being designated for assignment, and the Dodgers have now elected to cut him loose. The 26-year-old has spent most of the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he held a 5.86 ERA and 1.54 WHIP over 83 innings.

Sauer was recalled Thursday and yielded two runs on three hits while striking out two over two innings of relief that day against the Rockies. He'll head back to Triple-A on Friday, yielding his spot on the 26-man roster to Tanner Scott. Sauer has a 4.86 ERA and 73:23 K:BB across 76 innings with Oklahoma City this season.

The Dodgers optioned Sauer to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Sauer was credited with a win Tuesday against the Padres, despite allowing three runs over 2.1 relief innings. He will head back to Oklahoma City to accommodate the return of Emmet Sheehan (elbow), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list to start Wednesday's contest.
