  • Orioles' Jacob Webb: Returns from IL
    By RotoWire

The Orioles reinstated Webb (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Sunday. Webb will rejoin the Baltimore bullpen for the first time since early August after completing his recovery from right elbow inflammation. Prior to being activated, Webb made four rehab appearances between Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk, tossing 3.1 innings while allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks. He'll likely serve as a lower-leverage or middle-relief option for the Orioles.

  • Webb (elbow) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports. Webb, who has been on the 15-day injured list since Aug. 7 with right elbow inflammation, will likely require at least another rehab appearance after Sunday before the Orioles would feel comfortable activating him. The right-hander has been a key late-inning arm for Baltimore in 2024, notching one win, two saves and 12 holds while compiling a 3.08 ERA and 1.17 WHIP over 49.2 frames.

  • Orioles' Jacob Webb: Resumes throwing
    By RotoWire

Webb (elbow) played catch Saturday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Webb has been on the shelf since Aug. 7 due to elbow inflammation and Saturday appears to be the first time he's played catch since. Initial indications were that Webb wouldn't need to miss much more than the minimum 15 days, but he seems to be at least a week or two away from returning.

  • The Orioles placed Webb on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right elbow inflammation. It's not clear when Webb's elbow began bothering him, but his last appearance came Saturday, when he went 1.2 scoreless innings against the Guardians. Bryan Baker was called up from Triple-A Norfolk to take Webb's spot in the bullpen and on the 26-man active roster.

  • Webb (1-5) allowed a run on a hit and a walk over one inning, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Marlins. Webb kept runs off the board in the sixth inning but put a runner on base to start the seventh. Cionel Perez then walked one and gave up two hits as the Marlins rallied for a 6-3 lead, with the decisive run ending up on Webb's line. Prior to Wednesday, Webb had allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out eight over seven scoreless innings in July. The right-hander is at a 2.64 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 44:22 K:BB while adding two saves and 12 holds through 44.1 innings this season.
