Tyler Soderstrom C | ATH
Athletics' Tyler Soderstrom: Still donning splint
Soderstrom (wrist) remains sidelined from baseball activity and is slated to wear a splint for several more days, MLB.com reports.
Soderstrom is slated to keep the splint until at least Saturday, and he won't be able to start baseball activities until he's shed it. Soderstrom will presumably need a fairly lengthy rehab assignment whenever he's deemed ready for that step, considering he went on the IL on July 11 and is seemingly still multiple weeks away from being cleared for game action.

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Doubles twice in loss
Vaughn went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Twins.
Vaughn knocked RBI doubles in the third and eighth innings but it wasn't enough as the Twins' offense led the way in the 13-7 contest. It was Vaughn's first multi-hit performance since July 22 and he'd gone 6-for-35 (.171) in 10 games since. He posted a .933 OPS in June but has struggled since, producing a .648 OPS since the beginning of July. Vaughn's season slash line sits at .235/.291/.391 with 35 extra-base hits and 50 RBI through 426 plate appearances.

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Dealing with bruised wrist
Diaz had X-rays come back negative and was diagnosed with a bruised left wrist after exiting Sunday's 1-0 win over the Astros, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
The first baseman initially attempted to stay in the game after being struck by a 109.8 mile-per-hour grounder off the bat of Yordan Alvarez but was ultimately removed from the contest. Diaz went 1-for-2 with a walk before leaving the game. He avoided a fracture and should be considered day-to-day heading into Tuesday's series opener at St. Louis.

Mariners' Justin Turner: Not starting Sunday

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Rejoins lineup
Vaughn (illness) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Twins.
Vaughn was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's 6-2 loss due to the ailment, but he apparently made enough progress to make his return to the starting nine for the series finale. Since the All-Star break, Vaughn is slashing just .180/.226/.320 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs in 13 games.

He'll cede his spot in the lineup to trade-deadline pickup Eloy Jimenez, who serves as the Orioles' designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn fills in for Mountcastle at first base.
