Lowe went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a double in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Astros.

Lowe had hit a small rough patch by going 2-for-16 over his previous four games. His eighth-inning homer briefly got the Rangers within a run, snapping his 16-game power drought. The first baseman is up to nine long balls, 45 RBI, 53 runs scored, 22 doubles and a triple while slashing a steady .276/.369/.433 through 83 contests.

Abreu went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rangers.

Abreu's hitting came around as he batted .292 in June, and after an 0-for-3 effort Saturday, he bounced back with Sunday's three-hit game. It's just his second three-hit effort of the year, the other being June 14 versus the Nationals. The first baseman is up to a .240/.291/.344 slash line with six home runs, 41 RBI, 26 runs scored and 14 doubles through 80 contests. Making more consistent contact is helping improve his line, but he's still lacking in the power department, though he has an extra-base hit in five of his last eight contests.

Rizzo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at St. Louis.

Rizzo was set to sit Friday due to an elbow issue before the game was postponed, but he started both games of Saturday's twin bill and went 1-for-6 with three walks. The trip to the bench will end a stretch of 17 straight starts for the 33-year-old. Jake Bauers will man first base in his place Sunday while Oswaldo Cabrera receives a start in left field.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

After starting at first base in each of the past three games while going 1-for-12 with an RBI and a run, O'Hearn will give way to Ramon Urias in the series finale. Ryan Mountcastle (illness) could be ready to return from the 10-day injured list as soon as Monday and will likely take over as the everyday first baseman once activated, but O'Hearn would still have a path to playing time versus right-handed pitching while serving as a designated hitter or starting in the corner outfield.

Noda went 1-for-2 with a double, three walks, a run and an RBI in a 7-6 win against the White Sox on Saturday.

Noda struggled mightily during the second half of June, posting a .130/.245/.217 slash line between June 15 and June 30. However, he began July on a positive note, reaching base four times and tying a season high with three walks. Noda's .229/.384/.402 season slash line is far from exciting, but he's locked into an everyday role at first base and leads the team in runs (37) and walks (56).

Raley went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Mariners.

The Rays couldn't find a hit through five innings, but Yandy Diaz doubled and Raley homered off George Kirby in the sixth. Over his last 12 games, Raley has three homers, seven RBI and three doubles while batting .357 (15-for-42). The 28-year-old has a .280/.361/.585 slash line with 14 long balls, 33 RBI, 43 runs scored and nine stolen bases through 64 contests overall, primarily playing against right-handed pitchers.

Rizzo (elbow) is starting as the Yankees' designated hitter in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against St. Louis.

After taking a pitch to the elbow Thursday, Rizzo was slated for an off day Friday before the game was postponed. After a day of rest, Rizzo will return to the lineup without missing a game. The 33-year-old first baseman is 3-for-15 with three runs scored across his last five games.

Casas isn't in the Red Sox's lineup Saturday against the Blue Jays, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Left-hander Yusei Kikuchi will start the game on the mound for Toronto, meaning the left-handed bat of Casas will stay put in the dugout. Justin Turner will cover first base in Casas' absence, moving Masataka Yoshida into the DH spot and Rob Refsnyder in as the starting left fielder, batting leadoff.

Rizzo (elbow) is not in the lineup Friday at St. Louis.

As expected, Rizzo will get the night off after taking a pitch off his elbow late in Thursday's series finale against the Athletics. X-rays turned up negative for any fractures, and he should be able to return Saturday. DJ LeMahieu is starting at first base and batting leadoff.

Padlo cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

He's no longer on the 40-man roster, but Padlo will remain in the Angels organization. The 26-year-old infielder is just 6-for-54 at the plate across parts of three seasons at the big-league level.
