Diaz had X-rays come back negative and was diagnosed with a bruised left wrist after exiting Sunday's 1-0 win over the Astros, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

The first baseman initially attempted to stay in the game after being struck by a 109.8 mile-per-hour grounder off the bat of Yordan Alvarez but was ultimately removed from the contest. Diaz went 1-for-2 with a walk before leaving the game. He avoided a fracture and should be considered day-to-day heading into Tuesday's series opener at St. Louis.

Turner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Turner started the past four games after being acquired from the Blue Jays on Monday, and he went 5-for-18 with a home run in his first week with the Mariners. Jason Vosler will take over at first base in the series finale versus the Phillies.

Santana is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Jose Miranda will get the starting nod at first base while Santana takes a seat for the first time since July 8. Santana went hitless in the first two games of the series, but he owns a respectable .734 OPS over his 13 starts since the All-Star break.

Vaughn (illness) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Twins.

Vaughn was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's 6-2 loss due to the ailment, but he apparently made enough progress to make his return to the starting nine for the series finale. Since the All-Star break, Vaughn is slashing just .180/.226/.320 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs in 13 games.

Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Mountcastle will get a breather for the series finale in Cleveland after he had started in each of the Orioles' last eight games while going 8-for-33 with three extra-base hits, nine RBI and four runs. He'll cede his spot in the lineup to trade-deadline pickup Eloy Jimenez, who serves as the Orioles' designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn fills in for Mountcastle at first base.

Rice is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Rice has slumped to a .152/.255/.348 slash line since the All-Star break and will give way Sunday to DJ LeMahieu, who will draw another start at first base after breaking out of his season-long swoon at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBI while filling in for Rice in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Phillies. Though the lefty-hitting Rice is on the bench against a right-hander (Yariel Rodriguez) on Sunday, Rodriguez sports reverse splits for the season, which likely factored into the Yankees' decision to hold Rice out of the lineup.

Pasquantino went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Tigers.

The sixth-inning long ball off Kenta Maeda was Pasquantino's 15th of the season, and his fourth in the last four games. He's also driven in at least one run in five straight contests and hit safely in seven straight, continuing a hot streak that has seen the first baseman slash .371/.394/.597 over 15 games since the All-Star break with 17 RBI.

Singleton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Rays.

Singleton has hit safely in seven of his last nine games, going 8-for-31 (.258) with two homers and five RBI in that span. Since the start of July, he's batting .231, which is right in line with his .234 average for the season. He's added a .676 OPS, nine homers, 28 RBI, 38 runs scored, seven doubles and no stolen bases over 86 contests, and he doesn't appear to be in any immediate danger of relinquishing his starting role at first base.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

Diaz is 9-for-29 (.310) with two homers and four RBI over seven games since he returned from attending to a personal matter. The first baseman has reached double-digit homers in four of the last six years, but he's well off the pace that saw him swat 22 long balls last season. Through 101 contests in 2024, Diaz has a .276/.331/.410 slash line, 10 homers, 50 RBI, 40 runs scored, 23 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases.

Guerrero went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Yankees.

Guerrero hit a solo homer in the first inning, singled in the fourth and then doubled and scored a run in the sixth. He is as hot as it gets right now, having extended his hit streak to 16 games with nine homers in that span. On the year, the 25-year-old is hitting .318 with 22 home runs, 72 RBI and 65 runs scored across 480 plate appearances.
