France (wrist) isn't starting Wednesday against the Yankees.

France will be held out of the lineup for a fourth consecutive matchup as he continues to deal with a wrist injury. Kyle Lewis is serving as the designated hitter and batting sixth.

Dalbec's status as an everyday player for the Red Sox is expected to come to an end soon after manager Alex Cora said that Eric Hosmer (neck) will "play a lot" following his acquisition from the Padres on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Dalbec started Tuesday and and went 1-for-2 with walk in a win over the Astros. However, once Hosmer is ready to join the active roster, expect to see less of Dalbec, who should see most of his opportunities against left-handed pitching moving forward.

Raley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game agains the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The lefty-hitting Raley will take a seat for the series finale while southpaw Yusei Kikuchi takes the hill for Toronto. Roman Quinn will fill in as the Rays' right fielder in place of Raley, who went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Tuesday's 3-1 loss.

Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two total runs scored in Tuesday's loss to Seattle.

Rizzo first scored in the fourth inning on a Josh Donaldson double. He then hit a solo shot in the sixth inning, his 27th home run of the year. Rizzo is tied with Pete Alonso for the fifth most home runs in baseball. The Yankees' first baseman extended his hit streak to four games after Tuesday's performance, bringing his batting average up from .225 to .230 during that span.

Gurriel went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in a 2-1 loss to Boston on Tuesday.

Batting second, Gurriel brought home Jose Altuve with a first-inning single before swiping second base and adding another single in the fifth. The 38-year-old's theft was his fifth in his last 12 games while the two-hit performance extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which he's batting .379 with two doubles. Deadline acquisition Trey Mancini may eat into Gurriel's playing time, though manager Dusty Baker will be forced to keep Gurriel's bat in the lineup if he continues to put up quality numbers.

Vaughn went 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-2 win over the Royals.

Vaughn hit his first major-league triple and scored in the first inning to give the White Sox their first run. The 24-year-old also scored on a Jose Abreu home run after singling in the sixth. Vaughn slumped a bit in July, hitting .242 in 23 games last month, but he's already racked up five hits in two games to begin August. He's slashing .296/.346/.462 with 10 homers, 49 RBI, 41 runs scored and 20 doubles through 344 plate appearances.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-2 win over the Royals.

Abreu has homered in two of the last three games, but Tuesday marked his first game with multiple RBI since July 14. The first baseman is up to 13 long balls 52 RBI, 56 runs scored and 27 doubles in 101 contests while maintaining a steady .300/.381/.470 slash line. The White Sox were quiet at the trade deadline, so Abreu's status as a key piece in the heart of the lineup remains unchanged as they try to chase down the Twins and Guardians in the AL Central.

Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base in a 3-1 win Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Guerrero doubled and scored in the first and singled and stole third base in the third. After not stealing a base in his first 96 contests, he's swiped three bags in the last six games. He has a 13-game hitting streak going and has produced a .431/.491/.627 line in 57 plate appearances during the streak.

Kirilloff (right wrist inflammation) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Kirilloff has dealt with wrist issues for several years now, most notably in 2019, 2021 and much of this season. Perhaps this will be the last straw that will lead to another surgery (he tore ligaments in the right wrist in 2021). Max Kepler, Byron Buxton and Trevor Larnach are all banged up as well, so the likes of Nick Gordon, Jake Cave, Kyle Garlick and Mark Contreras will be asked to pick up the slack.

Pratto isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the White Sox, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Hunter Dozier will play first base in Pratto's place. Pratto went 0-for-4 with a trio of strikeouts Monday, and he's struck out 13 times in 29 at-bats since the All-Star break.
