Athletics' Matt Olson: Plates two runs
Olson went 1-for-3 with a home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.
Olson socked his 13th long ball of the season with a solo shot in the third inning, and he later added another RBI in the bottom of the fourth with a sac fly that scored Elvis Andrus. The first baseman has been seeing the ball well of late and has hit safely in all but two of his last 11 contests, hitting .300 with a 1.133 OPS, five homers and a 6:5 BB:K across 46 plate appearances in that span.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nate Lowe: Homers, extends hit streak
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 9-8 loss to the Angels.
Lowe's two-run blast, his first homer in 17 games, was part of a five-run uprising in the eighth inning. Earlier, a single extended his hitting streak to five games (8-for-21). His .265/.364/.739 line indicates a competent hitter, although it remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will develop the kind of power associated with a corner infielder at the major-league level.

Yankees' Luke Voit: Placed on injured list
Voit was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a Grade 2 oblique strain, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Receives cleanup assignment
Kirilloff will start at first base and bat cleanup Wednesday against the Orioles, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Even with Nelson Cruz (wrist) returning from a six-game absence, Kirilloff will retain a prominent spot in the lineup with Luis Arraez (shoulder) heading to the injured list and Josh Donaldson resting Wednesday. Kirilloff is being rewarded with the cleanup assignment after going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-4 win. The rookie is slashing .333/.364/.429 in his five games since returning from the IL last week.

Mountcastle (hand) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Twins, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Mountcastle exited Tuesday's game against the Twins after he was hit on the hand by a pitch. He was diagnosed with a bruised left hand after X-rays came back negative, and he's still considered day-to-day. Royals' Carlos Santana: Swats 10th homer

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Slugs 10th homer
Abreu went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI on Tuesday against the Cardinals.
Abreu took Jack Flaherty yard for a two-run home run in the fourth inning -- his 10th of the season. He also added a run-scoring single two frames later to post his second multi-RBI effort in his last three games. Though he's predictably regressed from his stellar 2020 season, Abreu is still hitting .256/344/.494 with 24 runs scored and 39 RBI across 183 plate appearances on the campaign.
