Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Launches solo home run
Guerrero went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.
Guerrero crushed a curveball over the center field wall in the sixth inning to stake Toronto to a 2-0 lead. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a tremendous August, batting .381 (24-for-63) with four homers and 12 RBI in 18 games. In his rookie season, Guerrero is now slashing .282/.356/.477 with 15 long balls and 55 runs batted in over 396 plate appearances.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Twins' Luke Raley: Begins rehab assignment
Raley (ankle) began a rehab assignment in the Gulf Coast League on Thursday, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run.
He has been out with a dislocated tendon in his left ankle since mid-May, but is making a run at getting back to Triple-A this season. He is not on the 40-man roster, so he is unlikely to make it to the big leagues this season.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Indians' Carlos Santana: Two extra-base knocks in loss
Santana went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk and an additional run Wednesday in the Indians' 4-3 loss to the Mets in 10 innings.
Santana's 30th home run of the season came in the top of the 10th and broke a 2-2 tie, but his heroic effort went for naught when closer Brad Hand melted down in the bottom of the inning. The 33-year-old's career-best campaign had already been flying somewhat under the radar, but he may begin garnering some more attention in light of his recent form at the dish. Over his last 10 games, Santana is slashing .421/.532/.947 with six home runs, 14 RBI, 13 runs and a 9:7 BB:K.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Hits clutch homer
Tellez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday in the Blue Jays' 2-1 loss to the Dodgers in 10 innings.
Tellez sent the game to extra innings after teeing off on closer Kenley Jansen for a one-out, 401-foot blast in the top of the ninth. While the clutch home run was nice, Tellez hasn't done much else since returning from Triple-A Buffalo last week to generate fantasy intrigue outside of AL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Stays hot
Abreu went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Twins.
Abreu was a major factor in the White Sox' offensive effort Wednesday, recording two RBI singles. While he didn't extend his homer streak to three games, Abreu now has 11 RBI across his last 10 games, recording at least one hit in eight of the contests. For the season, Abreu is now slashing .276/.316/.499 across 541 plate appearances.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Gets day off
Guerrero is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Dodgers.
Guerrero returned from a bout of knee inflammation Tuesday, going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks in his first game back. He'll give way to Brandon Drury at third base Wednesday as the Blue Jays look to ease the youngster back into action. Since the start of the second half, Guerrero is slashing an impressive .331/.394/.565 with six home runs and 29 RBI in 33 games.

Brandon Dixon 1B | SD
Tigers' Brandon Dixon: Gets breather
Dixon is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros.
Dixon will head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off following a string of six straight starts. Ronny Rodriguez is starting at first base and hitting sixth in place of Dixon against Justin Verlander.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Reaches base four times in return
Guerrero (knee) went 2-for-2 with a pair of walks Tuesday in the Blue Jays' 16-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Guerrero's inclusion in the lineup was somewhat surprising after he was diagnosed with inflammation in his left knee over the weekend, but Monday's team off day apparently remedied the matter. The rookie re-entered the lineup for Tuesday's series opener and showcased his usual elite plate approach, seeing 19 pitches on the night and reaching base in all four of his plate appearances. The Blue Jays could choose to give him a maintenance day in the near future but Guerrero's knee otherwise doesn't appear to be a concern moving forward.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Twins' C.J. Cron: Resting Wednesday
Cron is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
Cron will be on the bench for the second day in a row while Miguel Sano checks in for him at first base. Since returning from the 10-day injured list Aug. 3, Cron has slashed a pedestrian .236/.311/.364 across 16 games. His lackluster production of late along with the recent return of designated hitter Nelson Cruz from the IL could begin to cost Cron more work.
