Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Back in action
White (knee) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Rangers.
White missed two consecutive games after fouling a ball off his knee Wednesday, but he'll return to his spot in the starting nine Saturday. Prior to the injury, White hit .133 with four home runs, nine RBI and 40 strikeouts over 83 at-bats.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Retreats to bench Saturday
O'Hearn is not starting Saturday against the Twins, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
It is uncommon for O'Hearn to sit against a right-hander but after only coming up with one hit in his last 16 at-bats, he will get a breather as Ryan McBroom will get the start at first base in his absence.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Smokes fourth homer
Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's extra-inning win over the Rays.
The young slugger has had some trouble so far in his career getting enough loft on the ball to fully take advantage of his power, but Guerrero demonstrated Friday that he doesn't need much launch angle to go yard -- his frozen rope into the seats in left field left his bat at a stunning 115.6 mph, but at an angle of only 16 degrees. On the season, the 21-year-old is slashing a mediocre .242/.317/.418 with four homers and seven RBI, but three of those long balls have come in his last 10 games, a stretch during which he's slashing a more impressive .270/.372/.514.

Yandy Diaz DH | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Homers again Friday
Diaz went 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs and two walks in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Diaz was in a bit of a slump to begin the Rays' previous series, but he's been dominant over the past two games. He reached base five times Friday and generated some run production, but the Rays fell just short of a win in the 10-inning contest. The 29-year-old has been much more patient at the plate to begin the season and now carries an .832 OPS with two home runs, eight RBI and 19 walks this year.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Goes deep twice in win
Abreu went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 10-1 win over the Cubs.
The potent White Sox offense battered Cubs starter Jon Lester, launching four of its six homers off the left-hander. Abreu extended his hitting streak to six games -- with multiple hits in the last four -- going 12-for-26 with three doubles, four homers and 11 RBI during that stretch. As in years past, Abreu tops the White Sox in RBI with 23 over 27 games played.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Sits for first time
Gurriel will get his first day off of the season Friday against the Padres, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Gurriel has certainly earned an everyday role, hitting .296/.364/.541. Taylor Jones will start at first base in his absence.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Out of lineup
White (knee) is not starting Friday against Texas.
Previous reports indicated that White was hopeful that he could play Friday after fouling a ball off his knee in Wednesday's contest and sitting out Thursday's game, but if he winds up playing, it will be in a bench role. Dylan Moore will get the start at first base.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Hopeful for Friday
White (knee) was still sore Thursday after fouling a ball off his knee in Wednesday's game but has a chance to play Friday, the Associated Press reports.
White banged the ball off his left knee in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers, but subsequent X-rays did come back negative. Nevertheless, manager Scott Servais played it safe with the rookie by holding him out of Thursday's contest, and the day off may prove to be enough to see him re-enter the starting nine Friday.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Slugs two-run blast
Olson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Olson boosted the Athletics' lead to 3-0 with his 385-foot blast to right field in the fourth inning, a homer that plated Mark Canha. The slugger snapped a brief 0-for-10 skid that had encompassed his last three games with what was his ninth round tripper of the season, but his .170 average over 113 plate appearances has plenty of room for improvement.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Day off Friday
Tellez is not starting Friday's game against the Rays.
Tellez cleared the concussion protocol and started the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Phillies, going 3-for-4 with a homer. He'll get a day off Friday, with Teoscar Hernandez serving as the designated hitter.
