  • Rangers' Asdrubal Cabrera: Three-hit day in win

Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs an RBI and a walk in the Rangers' 11-3 win over the Athletics on Thursday.

Cabrera was hitting just .220 in July coming into this contest, but he posted a big day in this blowout victory for Texas, lacing a trio of base hits and reaching base in four of his five plate appearances. He's now slashing .234/.318/.399 with 12 homers and 48 RBI through 352 plate appearances.

Angels' Kole Calhoun: Launches 23rd homer in win

Calhoun went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and two RBI in Wednesday's 3-2 victory at Dodger Stadium.

Calhoun swatted an RBI double in the first inning, then crushed a 403-foot homer off Ross Stripling in the fourth to give the Angels a 2-0 lead. He also tacked on a double in the ninth to cap off another successful night at the plate. Throughout the Angels' first ever two-game Freeway Series sweep over the Dodgers, Calhoun contributed two home runs and four doubles. Overall this season, the 31-year-old is batting .243/.332/.500 with 23 homers, 61 runs scored and 54 RBI.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Yankees' Luke Voit: Day off Wednesday

  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rays' Nate Lowe: Sitting versus lefty again

Lowe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

  • Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE

Angels' Kole Calhoun: Excels with bat, arm in victory

Calhoun went 3-for-5 with a homer, two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored to contribute to Tuesday's victory over the Dodgers.

Calhoun's fingerprints were all over the victory, as he doubled in a run in the fifth inning and launched a solo shot in the seventh. His greatest contribution, however, may have come with his arm; he fired a perfect throw to nail Cody Bellinger at the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning to end the game and preserve the one-run win. The heroic performance came on the heels of a 1-for-16 skid that resulted in a rare day off Sunday. The 31-year-old is slashing .237/.328/483 with 22 homers and 52 RBI in 401 plate appearances this season.

  • Yuli Gurriel DH | SD

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Hot July continues

    Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the A's.

His second-inning shot off Mike Fiers was an inside-the-park job and accounted for the game's only offense until the ninth inning. Gurriel now has 20 homers on the year, with an incredible 12 of them coming in July -- a month during which the 35-year-old is slashing a massive .405/.436/.959.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Slugs clutch homer

Olson went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-innings win over the Astros.

The first baseman's 21st homer of the year was a big one, as he took Roberto Osuna deep in the ninth inning to send the game to extras. Olson is now slashing a strong .262/.344/.555 through 69 games on the year.

  • LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW

Twins' LaMonte Wade: Throwing but not catching

Wade (thumb) threw Tuesday but remains unable to catch, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Wade has been out with a dislocated thumb on his glove hand since early July. Given that he's still not able to use the thumb, his return doesn't appear to be imminent.

  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rays' Nate Lowe: Out against another lefty

Lowe remains on the bench against lefty Chris Sale and the Red Sox on Tuesday, source reports.

The Red Sox will trot out a third straight southpaw, David Price, on Wednesday, so Lowe could wind up stuck on the bench all series. Travis d'Arnaud remains the starter at first base in his absence.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Lands on injured list

Diaz was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left foot contusion, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Diaz was forced to exit Monday's game against the Red Sox after fouling a ball off his foot. He'll now miss at least 10 days, but X-rays confirmed that he was able to avoid a fracture. Matt Duffy (hamstring) was activated off the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move and should spend a fair amount of time at third base in Diaz's absence, with Mike Brosseau and Joey Wendle also in the mix.
