Wade is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 31-year-old started Friday against Halos lefty Tyler Anderson after Casey Schmitt (oblique) was scratched from the lineup, marking Wade's first start of the season versus a southpaw. He'll return to the bench Sunday with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi taking the mound for Anaheim, opening up first base for David Villar.

GM Ben Cherington said Valdez's shoulder injury is "relatively minor" and that the infielder could be available off the bench for Sunday's game versus the Guardians, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

The 26-year-old suffered the injury in the ninth inning of Saturday's contest as he slid into third base on a triple, and he was tagged out when he took his hand off the base to ask the umpire for time. Valdez has been a quality contributor early on for the Pirates this year with a .797 OPS and nine RBI in 53 plate appearances.

Busch went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Busch singled in a run in the bottom of the first inning, then added a solo home run an inning later, giving him five long balls for the season. The infielder has an impressive .316/.381/.618 slash line through 22 games, and while he often sits against southpaws, Busch has been a force against righties. He currently has a 1.020 OPS against opposite-handed pitching this year, as well as all of his home runs and RBI.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and an RBI double in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Cardinals.

Alonso drove in two of the Mets' three runs Saturday, finishing things up with a solo homer off John King in the eighth inning. Alonso has 10 multi-hit games this season, four of which have come over his last six games. His 1.220 OPS ranks first in the National League and second in the majors behind Aaron Judge (1.236), and Alonso is third in the NL in both batting average (.356) and RBI (23).

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.

Freeman tied things up at 2-2 in the fourth inning, when he took Nathan Eovaldi deep to right field for a two-run moon shot. It was Freeman's fourth home run of the year (and second in his last three games), and he's gone 7-for-18 with four walks, two runs scored and four RBI over his past five contests.

The Giants placed Schmitt (oblique) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to April 18.

Schmitt was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Angels due to side tightness that he experienced when hitting in the batting cage before the game. Further tests revealed a left oblique strain, and he won't be eligible to be activated off the IL until April 29, though how he responds to treatment over the next few days will determine a more accurate timeline for his return. The Giants selected David Villar's contract from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move.

Arraez went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Padres.

The 28-year-old contact king lofted a Bryan King fastball at the top of the zone down the right-field line in the seventh inning, accounting for the Padres' final offense of the night. Arraez has hit safely in six straight games, batting .357 (10-for-28) over that stretch to boost his slash line on the season to .294/.322/.435, but he's also flashing more power than usual to kick off 2025. Arraez has homered three times in 20 games, after leaving the yard only four times in 150 regular-season contests last year.

Schmitt was a late scratch from the lineup Friday due to an issue in his left side, and it now seems like the 26-year-old is destined to spend time on the injured list following his diagnosis. Brett Wisely and Marco Luciano are the most likely candidates to fill in as infield depth for San Francisco while Schmitt is sidelined.

Harper went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's 7-2 win over the Marlins.

Harper put the Phillies on the board in the first inning when he took Sandy Alcantara deep to right field for a 418-foot, two-run home run. Harper is up to five home runs on the season, three of which have come over his last four games. He's slashing .264/.404/.500 with a 17:17 BB:K, four stolen bases, 14 runs scored and 11 RBI across 89 plate appearances.
