  • Michael Toglia 1B | COL

Rockies' Michael Toglia: Out of Sunday's lineup

Toglia is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Toglia has started every game since being called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Aug. 30, and he'll receive a day off after he posted a .190/.242/.397 slash line in his first 16 big-league contests. Yonathan Daza will start in center field Sunday, which pushes Randal Grichuk to right.

  • Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Takes seat Sunday

Goldschmidt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.

Goldschmidt started the past six games and will receive a day off after he posted a .273/.360/.409 slash line with three doubles, three RBI and two runs during that stretch. Albert Pujols will take over at first base while Nolan Arenado rests his legs as the designated hitter.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Back in action Sunday

Hoskins (hand) is starting at first base and batting second Sunday against Atlanta, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

The 29-year-old hasn't seen the field since Wednesday when he suffered a bruised right hand on a hit-by-pitch, but he's back in the lineup for Sunday's series finale. Through 11 games in September, Hoskins has a .244/.289/.439 slash line with two home runs and five RBI.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Nationals' Luke Voit: Launches solo shot

Voit went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Marlins.

Voit hit a third-inning solo homer to put the Nationals up 3-1. It was his 21st homer of the season, his third this month and his eighth since being acquired by the Nats. The first baseman extended his hit streak to six games with the solo shot. During that span, Voit has two homers, four RBI and three runs scored while raising his season batting average from .229 to .235.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Could return Sunday

Hoskins (hand), who isn't starting Saturday against Atlanta, could return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Hoskins is out of the lineup for a third consecutive game Saturday but is feeling better and will participate in some pregame warmups to see how he feels. It's possible that he'll be available off the bench Saturday, and he'll have a chance to start Sunday if his swelling stays down.

  • LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW

Giants' LaMonte Wade: Won't start Saturday

Wade (side) will sit Saturday against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Wade was scratched Friday with tightness in his left side. It's possible that's the reason for his absence Saturday, but he was likely always going to sit against southpaw Julio Urias, so it isn't entirely clear if the injury is still bothering him. J.D. Davis will start at first base Saturday while Heliot Ramos starts in right field, the two spots Wade has most frequently occupied.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

    Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Still sidelined

Hoskins (hand) remains on the bench Saturday against Atlanta.

Hoskins hasn't played since he left Wednesday's game against the Marlins after a pitch hit his hand. While his X-rays were negative, his bruised hand will now keep him on the bench for the third straight game. The Phillies have a scheduled off day Monday, so it's possible he sits again Sunday in order to get five full days to heal. Alec Bohm will again slide to first base Saturday, with Nick Maton starting at third.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

    Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Sits Saturday

Cooper isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Nationals.

Cooper has seen a decrease in playing time recently and will head to the bench for the third time in the last four games. Nick Fortes is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: On bench for Game 1

Steer isn't starting the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Steer is resting for Saturday's matinee after he hit .250 with a double, four runs, an RBI, three walks and five strikeouts over the last eight games. Matt Reynolds will start at first base and bat eighth.

  • Donovan Solano 1B | TEX

Reds' Donovan Solano: Sitting for matinee

Solano isn't in the lineup for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Solano started the last four games and went 1-for-15 with a double, two walks and three strikeouts. TJ Friedl will take over as the designated hitter and lead off during Saturday's matinee.
