Elehuris Montero 1B | COL
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Sent back down
Montero was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Montero earned his first big-league call-up Friday, and he made his MLB debut in Sunday's win over the Reds. He went 2-for-4 with two strikeouts but will head back to Albuquerque since the Rockies need to trim their active roster to 26 players by Monday. If Colorado deals with more injuries, it wouldn't be surprising to see Montero back in the majors at some point.

Dominic Smith 1B | ATL
Mets' Dominic Smith: Gets second straight start
Smith will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Phillies.
Smith will pick up his second start in a row after he went 0-for-3 with a walk in Saturday's 4-1 loss. Though Smith has submitted a poor .489 OPS through 44 plate appearances on the season, the Mets could be more inclined to find him at-bats at designated hitter at the expense of Robinson Cano, who owns a comparable .501 OPS but is more than a decade older. Cano is on the bench for the fourth time in five games as the Mets continue to cycle in a number of different players at DH, with Pete Alonso getting a turn there Sunday while Smith plays the field.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Could be back Tuesday
Manager Gabe Kapler said Saturday that Wade (knee) could be available to return from the 10-day injured list during the Giants' two-game series with the Dodgers that begins Tuesday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports. "The schedule has him playing more games in Triple-A to make sure he feels comfortable doing everything necessary to help us on the field," Kapler said of Wade. "We'll see when his earliest availability is. In theory that could be at some point in the Dodgers series."
Kapler's comments came after Wade made his fifth rehab appearance with Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday. For the first time during his stint in the minors, Wade played a full nine-inning game in the outfield Saturday, and he finished with a double and three walks across his six plate appearances. Wade certainly looks to have moved past the knee injury based on his performance at the dish, as he's submitted a 1.238 OPS over his 21 plate appearances at Triple-A. Whenever he's reinstated from the IL, Wade should reclaim a strong-side platoon role in the outfield.

Matt Beaty 1B | KC
Padres' Matt Beaty: Picks up fifth straight start
Beaty will start in right field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Pirates.
With Wil Myers (thumb) on the injured list, Beaty has taken over as the Padres' primary option in right field. He'll make his fifth consecutive start Sunday, despite going 0-for-11 with two walks and two runs in his previous four games.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Receives first day off
Goldschmidt is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Goldschmidt went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout Saturday to snap an eight-game hit streak during which he went 16-for-34 with a homer, two doubles, nine RBI and four runs, and he'll take a seat for Sunday's series finale. Albert Pujols will start at first base while Corey Dickerson serves as the designated hitter.

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Crushes fourth home run
Tellez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in a 9-1 victory against the Cubs on Saturday.
Tellez singled home a run in the first inning and provided some insurance in the fifth with a two-run shot to center. The successful showing brought the 27-year-old out of a 3-for-23 slump that encompassed eight games. Tellez is now slashing .234/.300/.484 in 21 games this season with four doubles and four home runs.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Swipes first bag
Bohm went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in a 4-1 win over the Mets on Saturday.
Bohm singled in the third inning and walked, stole second and scored in the seventh. Though he's noticeably cooled since taking over as the everyday third baseman, the 25-year-old is still slashing an impressive .306/.356/.469. Bohm stole four bases in 115 games last season, so he probably won't become a big threat on the bases moving forward.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Ends homer drought
Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-1 win over the Mets on Saturday.
Hoskins added a final insurance run with an eighth-inning solo shot, but he failed to be productive in his other three plate appearances. It was his first home run since the second game of the season April 9 and snapped an 0-for-12 stretch for the 29-year-old. Hoskins is currently slashing .197/.303/.368 through 22 games and has just seven RBI despite hitting in the middle of a powerful Philadelphia lineup.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Racks up three hits
Flores went 3-for-5 in Friday's 14-4 loss to the Nationals.
Flores has posted multiple hits in four of his last six games, going 10-for-25 (.400) in that span. All three of his hits Friday were singles. The strong hitting has boosted his slash line to .290/.333/.449 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 10 runs scored and five doubles in 18 games. Flores has mainly served as the designated hitter versus right-handed pitchers while moving to third base against southpaws.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Homers in Friday's loss
Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Goldschmidt's lone hit of the game left the yard in the first inning. That stretched the first baseman's hitting streak to eight games, a span in which he's batting .471 (16-for-34) with nine RBI and four runs scored. The surge has him up to a .293/.361/.387 slash line with a homer, 10 RBI, 11 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases in 19 contests this season. Outside of a dip in power, the rest of his numbers are right where they should be.
