  • Keston Hiura 2B | LAD

Brewers' Keston Hiura: Adds to homer tally

Hiura went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs and a walk in Wednesday's victory over the Twins.

The home run came off a position player late in the game, but it counts all the same in the box score and was Hiura's fourth long ball in the last 10 games. Hiura owned a .658 OPS prior to that stretch, but his hot streak has raised that mark over 100 points to .778.

  • Dominic Smith 1B | ATL

Mets' Dominic Smith: Stays hot at plate

Smith went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored as he helped the Mets to a 5-3 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Smith has been on an absolute tear over the last two weeks as the young slugger has registered at least one hit in 12 of his last 13 games. Smith is currently tied for second in MLB this season with 10 doubles while his 21 RBI are currently good for sixth as he is one of the hottest hitters in baseball at the moment.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Knocks three-run shot

Flores went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's win over the Angels.

Flores took Patrick Sandoval deep in the third inning for his fifth home run of the season, and the versatile infielder has now produced multi-hit contests in three of his last four games. Flores is hitting .302 with a .509 slugging percentage, three homers and seven RBI in 53 at-bats this month.

  • Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Stays hot in loss

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, a walk and a run in a loss to the Cubs on Tuesday.

The veteran first baseman was arguably the Cardinals' best offensive weapon on a night when their bats couldn't get much going overall. Goldschmidt has been swinging a red-hot bat since St. Louis resumed play Saturday, hitting .400 (8-for-20) with a double, a home run, three RBI, three walks and four runs across six games.

  • Braves' Freddie Freeman: Stays hot Tuesday

Freeman went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Nationals.

His fourth-inning blast gave Atlanta a 5-2 lead, but it was the last sign of meaningful offense the Braves would produce on the night. Freeman's put his sluggish start to the season behind him with six multi-hit efforts in his last 12 games, a stretch during which he's slashing .378/.451/.733 with three homers (plus five doubles and a triple) and seven RBI.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Swats solo shot

Hoskins went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Tuesday's 13-6 win over the Red Sox.

Hoskins went deep in the fifth inning, his solo shot pulling the Phillies within a run. In the sixth, he drew a walk and came around to score on Bryce Harper's three-run homer. Hoskins has hit safely in seven of the last eight games, going 9-for-29 (.310) with a homer, five RBI and nine runs scored in that span.

  • Josh Bell DH | MIN

Pirates' Josh Bell: Drives in two

Bell went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Tuesday against Cleveland.

Bell came through with the majority of the Pirates' offense when he drove a double into the gap in the fifth frame to drive in two. While his performance has been underwhelming this season, Bell now has seven RBI in his last eight starts. Still, his overall line is an abysmal .205/.253/.315 with nine RBI and eight runs scored through 79 plate appearances.

  • Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE

Diamondbacks' Kole Calhoun: Smacks seventh homer

Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, one RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the Athletics.

Calhoun went yard to lead off the second inning, taking Frankie Montas deep for his seventh home run of the season. He now has five homers in his last eight starts, tallying 11 hits in 35 at-bats, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored in that span. For the season, Calhoun has maintained a .238/.326/.548 line to go along 15 runs scored and 18 RBI.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Cleared for workouts

Cooper was one of 18 Marlins that tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this season who received clearance Saturday to resume baseball activities at the team's alternate training site in Jupiter, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Cooper started in the Marlins' first two games of the season and went 2-for-7 with an RBI before he was shut down July 26, when he became one of the first known players on the roster to have tested positive. Though he's now made a full recovery from the coronavirus, the three-plus weeks of activity that he missed while waiting to clear all protocols means he'll likely need several days' worth of workouts before Miami deems him ready to return from the IL. Once he's activated, Cooper is expected to rotate with Jesus Aguilar between first base and designated hitter.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: On bench Tuesday

Flores is not starting Tuesday against the Angels, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Flores has started 19 of the Giants' first 25 games this season, though he's now found himself on the bench for two straight contests. Pablo Sandoval will be the designated hitter Tuesday.
