Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Tries to spark comeback
Flores went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to Atlanta.
The infielder brought San Francisco within a run with his ninth-inning blast, but the tying run never came. Flores has seen his regular role as a starter end recently, but he's drawn spot starts at first and third base. He could see more starts this weekend with Brandon Belt (bereavement), Evan Longoria (hand) and Kris Bryant (side) all potentially unavailable. Flores has a .249/.320/.438 slash line with 16 homers, 45 RBI, 47 runs scored and a stolen base through 372 plate appearances.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Royals' Carlos Santana: Back in action
Santana (hip) is starting Friday's game against the Mariners.
Santana missed the last three games due to a Grade 1 hip flexor strain, but he'll serve as the designated hitter and bat fourth Friday. The 35-year-old has gone 5-for-17 with a double, a run, an RBI and a walk across his last four appearances.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Reds' Asdrubal Cabrera: Claimed by Cincinnati
Cabrera was claimed off waivers by the Reds on Friday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo recently indicated Cabrera was likely to see decreased playing time during the final month of the season, so it's not much of a surprise the team placed him on outright waivers. The 35-year-old will be joining a playoff contender in Cincinnati and should see most of his action as a reserve option at the corner infield spots. Cabrera has a .244/.324/.392 slash line with seven homers, 21 doubles, 40 RBI and 34 runs in 90 games this season.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: On base five times
Walker went 4-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Thursday's 8-7 win over Philadelphia.
The Pennsylvania native enjoyed his return home with a four-hit night in front of friends and family. While it was a good night for Walker, all four hits were singles. His .364 slugging and .679 OPS this season creates a situation where first base may be up for grabs in 2022.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Homers twice in win
Dalbec went 3-for-4 with two home runs, seven RBI and three runs scored during Thursday's win over the Twins.
Dalbec undoubtedly was a major factor during Thursday's 12-2 route, tallying his second two-homer game of the year to go with a season-high seven RBI. Despite his success, the 26-year-old is expected to mainly stand in against lefties, while Travis Shaw works in the strong side of the platoon at first base. Overall this season, he's batting .235/.287/.453 with 16 long balls.

Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Giants' Donovan Solano: Tests positive for COVID-19
Solano tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
Solano was dealing with cold symptoms, which was the original reason he was placed on the injured list. Now with a confirmed positive test, Solano is in line for 7-to-10 day absence. The team has tremendous depth in the middle infield, with Tommy La Stella's playing time likely to be more secure in Solano's absence.
