  • Donovan Solano 1B | TEX

    Giants' Donovan Solano: Sitting Saturday

Solano is not in the lineup Saturday against Arizona, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Solano hits the bench after starting four straight games. Wilmer Flores takes over at second base in his absence.

  • Evan White 1B | LAA

Mariners' Evan White: On base four times in win

White went 2-for-2 with a two-run double, two walks and a run in a win over the Rangers on Friday.

White left the 0-for-9 skid he walked into Friday's resumption of play with in the dust via his stellar performance, churning out his third multi-hit effort in his last six starts. The rookie is still slashing just .179/.254/.377 for the season, but there are undeniable signs he's starting to make inroads against big-league arms. Factoring in Friday's production, White owns a .348/.423/.609 line with three doubles, one home run and 10 RBI over 26 plate appearances in his last seven contests.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: On bench Saturday

Cooper will not start Saturday's game against the Rays, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper owns a strong .886 OPS in seven games since returning from the COVID-19 injured list in late August. He'll hit the bench Saturday, with Jesus Aguilar at first base and Corey Dickerson serving as the designated hitter.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Slugs seventh homer Friday

Tellez went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

After going 2-for-3 with an RBI during a win in the matinee, Tellez took Chris Mazza deep in the fourth inning of the nightcap for his seventh homer of the year, getting the Jays on the board in an eventual 3-2 loss. The 25-year-old continues to make lots of loud contact, and over his last 10 games Tellez is slashing .370/.455/.741 with three home runs and seven RBI.

  • Braves' Freddie Freeman: Launches first career grand slam

Freeman went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a grand slam and a second run scored in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

After going 1-for-4 in the opener, Freeman hit a bases-loaded blast off Tanner Rainey in the fourth inning of the nightcap to tie the game at 7-7, though Atlanta eventually fell 10-9. Remarkably, it was the first grand slam of Freeman's career on his 233rd homer. With knocks in both ends of the twin bill, the 30-year-old's hit streak now stands at 18 games, during which he's slashing .394/.506/.636 with three home runs and 14 RBI.

  • Keston Hiura 2B | LAD

Brewers' Keston Hiura: Two extra-base hits

Hiura went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's win over Cleveland.

The Brewers blew the game open against the Cleveland bullpen after Carlos Carrasco and Corbin Burnes were locked in a pitchers' duel, and Hiura led the charge with an RBI double in the seventh. He added a two-run homer in the eighth, his third long ball in his last four games and 10th this season. He hasn't been running a ton, especially lately, but regardless Hiura's been the top fantasy second baseman to this point.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Big impact in nightcap

Mountcastle went 3-for-3 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in a 6-3 win over the Yankees in Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader.

Mountcastle opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the second inning. He added an RBI single in the fifth inning and came around to scored on a Pat Valaika double. Mountcastle is up to three homers, nine RBI and seven runs scored through 50 plate appearances this season. His strong hitting has earned him a near-everyday role in left field.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Not starting Game 2

Guerrero isn't in the lineup for Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Guerrero will take a breather after going 1-for-4 with a run and two strikeouts in Friday's matinee. Rowdy Tellez will take over at first base.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Heads to bench

Mountcastle is not in the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Mountcastle has hit the ball quite well in his first 11 major-league games, slashing .341/.400/.537. DJ Stewart will be the left fielder for the afternoon game, but Mountcastle will likely return to the lineup for the nightcap.

  • Ryan O'Hearn RF | PIT

Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: On bench Friday

O'Hearn is not starting Friday against the White Sox, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

O'Hearn has just a .654 OPS this season, a near match for his .650 mark from last year. Hunter Dozier again moves in to play first base Friday, with Whit Merrifield sliding over to right field and Edward Olivares starting in center.
