Lowe is starting at first base and batting sixth Sunday with lefty Martin Perez starting for the Red Sox.

With Ji-Man Choi (hamstring strain) likely done for the remainder of the regular season, Lowe should function as the primary first baseman going forward. He will likely get spelled by Mike Brosseau at times, but Sunday's lineup is an indication that Lowe won't be limited to a strict strong-side platoon. He hit two homers in Friday's game and had another hit, run and RBI Saturday.

Bell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Royals.

His second-inning shot, Bell's sixth homer of the year, got the Pirates on the board. The first baseman has now hit safely in five straight games and gone yard in two straight, pushing his slash line on the season up to .231/.301/.374.

France went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in a win over Arizona on Saturday.

France got the Mariners off to a quick start with a solo shot to left field in the first inning. He went on to collect two more base knocks in the victory for his second three-hit game of the season. Since joining the Mariners at the trade deadline, France has gone 11-for-29 (.379) with a pair of homers and six RBI.

Gurriel went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in a victory over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Gurriel kicked off the scoring for Houston with an RBI single to center in the first inning. Though he didn't do anything spectacular the remainder of the contest, he made productive outs with an RBI fielder's choice in the eighth inning and a sacrifice fly in the ninth. Through 184 plate appearances this season, Gurriel is slashing .265/.310/.458 with 21 RBI.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Goldschmidt took Reds reliever Amir Garrett deep in the sixth inning to finish off a five-run rally. The 33-year-old Goldschmidt has six homers this season, three of which have come in his last eight games. He's slashing .312/.446/.512 with 16 RBI, 25 runs scored and a stolen base in 39 contests overall.

Abreu went 4-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, seven RBI and five runs scored Saturday against the Tigers.

Abreu delivered a pair of three-run homers one game after his 22-game hitting streak came to a close. He also benefited from a strong surrounding lineup, scoring each time he reached base. Abreu now has five multi-RBI appearances in his past 11 games, bringing his season total to 47. Overall, he's hitting .319/.364/.627 in 198 plate appearances.

Dalbec is not starting Saturday against the Rays.

Dalbec will be protected from a matchup against a tough righty, Tyler Glasnow. The rookie has struck out in 46.5 percent of his 43 plate appearances so far but has hit an incredible six homers in 11 games, giving him a .282/.349/.769 slash line. Michael Chavis will start at first base Saturday.

Naylor will be on the bench Saturday against southpaw Rich Hill and the Twins.

Naylor has started against every righty while sitting against every lefty since he joined Cleveland at the deadline. He owns a .372 OPS with his new team, though that comes in just nine games. Oscar Mercado will be the left fielder Saturday.

Tellez (knee) rode a stationary bike Saturday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Tellez may have a tough time making it back before the end of the season with a strained right knee, though the fact that he's working out just three days after landing on the injured list is certainly a positive sign. He remains without a specific timeline.

Calhoun isn't in Saturday's lineup against the Mariners.

As per usual, Calhoun will get a day off with lefty Justus Sheffield starting for the Mariners. Pavin Smith will take over as the right fielder, batting ninth.
