Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a double in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

Gurriel's leadoff double in the second inning extended his hitting streak to 10 games, in which he's batted .349 (15-for-43) and pushed his season average to .291, its highest point since April 14. The season average neatly matches his career average over 220 games in MLB, but his power numbers are lacking. More than a third of the way through the season, the first baseman has just one home run, 19 RBI, and is slugging .379 through 45 games.

Cron exited Sunday's matchup against the Mariners after being hit by a pitch near his right hand, Juan Toribio of The Athletic Tampa Bay reports.

Cron was taken for X-rays after getting hit by a pitch, but they came back negative, and he was diagnosed with a right forearm contusion, per Toribio. He'll be listed as day-to-day moving forward, as the injury doesn't appear to be serious. Christian Arroyo replaced Cron as the designated hitter.

Cabrera is not in the lineup Sunday against the Cubs.

Cabrera will take the day off after going hitless in six at-bats and striking out a season-high three times in Saturday's extra-innings loss to the Cubs. The veteran second baseman is now hitting just .143 over his last seven games, but his season average still sits at a comfortable .294 mark. He'll give way to Luis Guillorme at second base Sunday.

Rizzo is not in the lineup Sunday against the Mets.

Rizzo will receive the afternoon off for some additional rest following the team's 14-inning tilt against the Mets on Saturday night. The first baseman went 3-for-6 in that contest and is now hitting .344 over his past 15 games. It appears Rizzo has put his cold start behind him. Ian Happ draws the start at first base Sunday.

Rizzo went 3-for-6 with a walk, a stolen base and an RBI in Saturday's 7-1 extra-innings win over the Mets.

The first baseman has now reached base safely in 15 straight games, posting a scorching .344/.446/.525 slash line over that stretch with two homers, one steal, seven runs and 15 RBI. Rizzo has endured a rough start to 2018, but he's locked in right now and rewarding fantasy general managers who were patient with the 28-year-old.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Marlins.

Goldschmidt has now homered in two of his last three games at home after going without a home run in his first 27 games at Chase Field to begin 2018. The 30-year-old has hit safely in seven of his last eight and seems to be finally getting comfortable at the plate, but he's still not running at all. Goldschmidt has attempted just one stolen base since April 25.

Guerrero left the second game of Double-A New Hampshire doubleheader Saturday in the seventh inning after stepping on first base awkwardly, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Fortunately, the team doesn't consider the injury to be a major concern, but the Blue Jays understandably wanted to play it safe with the prized prospect, who went 2-for-7 in the twin bill prior to exiting the contest in the final frame. Consider Guerrero day-to-day until the Blue Jays update his status.

The Angels placed Calhoun on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a right oblique strain.

The injury seemingly comes out of nowhere for the struggling Calhoun, although he did sit out Friday against right-hander Bartolo Colon. The 30-year-old had a dismal May in which he went 8-for-74 with one RBI and one extra-base hit, bringing his season slash line to .108/.193/.122. Calhoun is eligible to return for the June 12 matchup with the Mariners, but at this point it's unclear how long he is expected to be on the shelf.

Freeman tweaked his left wrist on a strikeout in the first inning Saturday against the Nationals but remained in the game, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Bowman notes that the wrist was clearly bothering Freeman, as he was flexing it a few times at the start of the second inning, but it's apparently not a serious enough injury to force him out of the game. Nothing may come of this, but it's worth noting moving forward in case he is kept out of Sunday's lineup.

Olson went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, three runs scored and five RBI in Friday's 16-0 rout of the Royals.

He took Ian Kennedy deep in the second and third innings, giving Olson 11 homers on the year and three in the last two games. The five RBI were also a career high for the 24-year-old, but despite his current form he still carries a .246/.330/.464 slash line through 58 games, a step backwards across the board from his explosive 2017 debut.
