Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Power surge continues Saturday
Torkelson went 2-for-8 with a double, a home run and three RBI across both games of Saturday's doubleheader with the Orioles.
Torkelson continues to drive the ball this season, as that's now eight home runs across 27 games to go along with a strong .950 OPS. The 25-year-old dipped to a .669 OPS in the regular season last year, but he appears to be having a bounce-back campaign in 2025, and he could surpass the career-best 31 home runs that he tallied back in 2023 if he stays healthy.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | TEX
Mariners' Rowdy Tellez: X-rays clean on left hand
X-rays on Tellez's left hand came back negative following Saturday's 14-0 win over the Marlins, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Tellez's left hand was hit by a pitch from Anthony Veneziano in the fourth inning of Saturday's game. Tellez initially stayed in the game but was replaced at first base by Donovan Solano before the start of the sixth. The clean MRI is good news for Tellez, but he could be held out of Sunday's series finale with the Mariners slated for an off day Monday.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand 1B | CIN
Reds' Christian Encarnacion-Strand: Doing rotational exercises
Encarnacion-Strand (back) has been doing rotational exercises since receiving an epidural for his back issues and will be evaluated after the weekend to determine whether he'll need another epidural, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
So far there's no indication of a timetable for Encarnacion-Strand's return to action. When he returns, it'll be a little tricky to figure out his playing time following Noelvi Marte's strong performance this week. One possibility is Jeimer Candelario losing more playing time -- Candelario is hitting only .118 and was left out of the starting lineup Saturday.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Goes yard in Saturday's win
Pasquantino went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Astros.
Pasquantino took Framber Valdez deep in the fifth inning for what ended up being the last run of the game. This was Pasquantino's third straight game with a hit -- he's 3-for-10 with two RBI and three runs scored in that span. The first baseman is still working out of the early doldrums, batting .188 with a .586 OPS, three homers, 16 RBI, eight runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 27 contests. He continues to hold down a near-everyday role, splitting his time between first base and designated hitter, depending on where Salvador Perez is playing.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Sitting out nightcap
Casas isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Cleveland, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
After going 1-for-3 with a walk during a loss in Game 1, Casas will take a seat on the bench to conclude Saturday's festivities while southpaw Doug Nikhazy toes the slab for Cleveland. Romy Gonzalez will fill in at first base and bat sixth.

Nolan Schanuel 1B | LAA
Angels' Nolan Schanuel: Helped off field
Schanuel was removed from Saturday's game against the Twins after fouling a ball off his right knee, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Schanuel needed assistance getting off the field after injuring himself in the fourth inning. The team has labeled his injury as a contusion, but he may need additional testing to determine if there is any structural damage as a result of the incident. J.D. Davis replaced Schanuel at first base Saturday.

Giants' LaMonte Wade: Logs single in loss

The 31-year-old has struggled at the plate to begin the 2025 campaign, failing to record a hit in 18 of his 23 games. Wade is slashing .104/.238/.224 with eight RBI, seven runs scored, five extra-base hits and a 12:21 BB:K across 81 plate appearances.
