  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Will miss more time

Freeman (finger) will miss at least Monday's game and could be out for a few additional days, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Freeman jammed his finger Saturday and was held out of the lineup Sunday. He is set to undergo a CT scan on his finger Monday, which should give more clarity for a timeline for his return. Manager Dave Roberts didn't give additional details, though it sounds as if the first baseman could be in danger of missing the Dodgers' series against Seattle.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Managing bruised forearm

Diaz was diagnosed with a left forearm contusion after exiting Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Diaz was hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom of the first inning and attempted to stay in to run the bases, but it wasn't long before he was replaced by a pinch runner. The 33-year-old appears to have avoided a fracture and should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener at Oakland.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Slated for CT scan

Freeman will get a CT scan on his middle finger Monday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Freeman jammed his middle finger in Saturday's game against the Cardinals. While X-rays after contest came back negative, manager Dave Roberts told reporters Sunday that Freeman's finger is bad enough that the 34-year-old first baseman cannot grip a bat, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. The silver lining for the Dodgers is that Max Muncy (oblique) is expected to be activated from the 60-day injured list Monday, and he would provide depth at first base alongside Enrique Hernandez if Freeman were to be sidelined for an extended period of time.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Sitting Sunday

Freeman (finger) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Freeman left in the sixth inning of Saturday's game against St. Louis after jamming the middle finger on his right hand while fielding a groundball. X-rays came back negative following the contest, but he will sit out the series finale. Enrique Hernandez will start at first base and bat seventh against Cardinals ace Sonny Gray.
