J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Athletics' J.D. Davis: Leaves yard Tuesday
Davis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.
Davis got the Athletics on the board with a solo blast off Cal Quantrill in the third inning. It was his first home run since he had two against the Guardians on March 29 and just his second hit in his last 20 plate appearances since May 11. The 31-year-old has lost out on playing time due to his offensive struggles. He's now slashing .196/.237/.337 with seven extra-base hits, three RBI, 10 runs and a 4:25 BB:K in 97 plate appearances.

Joey Gallo LF | CHW
Nationals' Joey Gallo: Getting regular work at first base
Gallo will start at first base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Twins, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Since being activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Gallo has now drawn six consecutive starts, with all coming at first base. While Joey Meneses has moved to designated hitter to accommodate Gallo, the Nationals might not have regular room in the lineup for Gallo once Lane Thomas (knee) returns from the injured list, perhaps as soon as this weekend. Gallo has gone 3-for-17 with nine strikeouts through his first five starts since coming off the IL, and he's produced a career-worst .579 OPS this season while striking out at a 47.3 percent clip.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Day off versus left-hander
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
The Mets are starting left-hander Jose Quintana and the two teams are concluding the series with a day game after a night game, so it's a sensible spot for Guardians manager Stephen Vogt to give the left-handed-hitting Naylor a breather. David Fry will start at first base Wednesday in Naylor's stead.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Twins' Carlos Santana: Resting Wednesday
Santana is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
Santana will take a seat for the series finale in Washington, ending a stretch of 12 consecutive starts during which he's run hot at the plate with a .283/.298/.522 slash line. Alex Kirilloff will fill in for Santana at first base.

Jonathan Singleton DH | HOU
Astros' Jon Singleton: Goes yard in Tuesday's win
Singleton went 1-for-2 with a two-run home homer and two walks in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Angels.
Singleton tied the ballgame up in the sixth with a 432-foot blast to center field for his fifth home run of the year and his first since May 9. He now has six hits and four RBI over his last five games and continues to step up with the Astros looking for production at first base after Jose Abreu's early season struggles, though it's worth noting that Abreu is expected to return to the team soon following some time in the minors. The 32-year-old Singleton is now slashing .229/.336/.385 with 14 RBI, 17 runs and an 18:30 BB:K in 128 plate appearances.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Goes deep in win
Walker went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Dodgers.
Walker led off the top of the sixth inning with a solo homer. The blast was Walker's ninth and tied him for the team lead with Ketel Marte. May has not been kind to Walker, who is batting .194 with a .606 OPS through 18 games, but he continues to lead the Diamondbacks with 31 RBI.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Pair of hits, homer
France went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Yankees.
The first baseman clubbed his fifth homer of the campaign, taking Dennis Santana yard in the seventh frame. Across his last eight games, France is batting .276 with three home runs and hasn't struck out multiple times in a contest during that stretch.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Homers Tuesday
Harper went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
Harper led off the fourth inning with a double before coming around to score on an Alec Bohm single, giving the Phillies a 2-1 lead. Harper would then extend the lead to 3-1 in the fourth with a 422-foot solo blast off Jacob Latz, his 11th long ball of the year. After a sluggish start to the year, the 31-year-old Harper has been on fire in May, batting .359 with five home runs, 18 RBI and a 1.111 OPS in 17 games. He's boosted his slash line to .280/.388/.537 through 196 plate appearances this season.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand 1B | BAL
Reds' Christian Encarnacion-Strand: Follow-up exam coming June 5
Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) will have a follow-up exam June 5, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
June 5 represents the four-week mark of Encarnacion-Strand's projected 4-to-6-week timetable as he recovers from a fracture in his right wrist, so the slugging first baseman doesn't look as though he'll be on track to return on the early side of that timeline. Encarnacion-Strand would presumably require a rehab assignment before he's activated from the 10-day injured list.

Jake Bauers RF | MIL
Brewers' Jake Bauers: Sitting against southpaw
Bauers is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.
Bauers will give way to Owen Miller at first base for a second straight night as the Marlins trot out another lefty starter. Bauers delivered a pinch-hit double during Monday's extra-innings loss.
