Freeman extended his hitting streak to six games with this impressive effort. He hit a two-run homer in the third inning that was all the Dodgers needed to win, and he scored each time he got on base. The first baseman has accumulated six four-hit efforts this season. For the year, he's up to a .339/.416/.579 slash line with 26 homers, 93 RBI, 121 runs scored, 18 stolen bases and 55 doubles through 144 games.

Diaz was removed from Tuesday's game in the fifth inning with a testicular contusion, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Diaz fouled off a pitch that hit him below the belt during the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest, and he was eventually replaced by Isaac Paredes at first base while Curtis Mead entered to cover third. It's unclear how long Diaz's injury will keep him sidelined, but he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Pratto isn't in the Royals' lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader with the White Sox.

After going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the first game of Tuesday's activities, Pratto will get a chance to regroup during the nightcap. Matt Duffy will cover first base and bat sixth in Pratto's absence.

The Cubs placed Candelario on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a lower-back strain, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Candelario suffered the injury in Sunday's series finale against the Diamondbacks and will be sidelined until at least a week from Thursday. Nick Madrigal is playing third base Tuesday at Colorado, with Cody Bellinger covering first base and Christopher Morel filling the DH role. Alexander Canario has been recalled from Triple-A Iowa as a depth option off the bench.

Mountcastle is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Cardinals.

He will sit for the second time in three games. Mountcastle is hitting .194 with zero extra-base hits in eight games this month. Adley Rutschman is starting at designated hitter while James McCann starts behind the dish.

Kirilloff is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Rays.

The Twins will turn to Donovan Solano at first base against right-hander Zack Littell. Kirilloff has now started three of five games since returning from the injured list, although this is the first one he's sat out versus a righty.

The Yankees transferred Rizzo (concussion) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of right-hander Zach McAllister, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Rizzo had already been ruled out for the season as he continues to recover from concussion symptoms.

Noda went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-0 victory versus the Astros on Monday.

Noda struck out in each of his first three plate appearances but finished on a high note with a 400-foot solo homer in the ninth inning. The stat line is pretty indicative of his season as a whole -- of Noda's 81 hits, 36 have been for extra bases (including 15 homers), but he's also struck out 138 times in 423 plate appearances. Noda has fanned 14 times through 10 contests in September, but he's managed a decent .270 batting average along with three homers, eight runs and seven RBI.

Naylor went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Naylor has hit safely in his last five games, going 6-for-16 (.375) with two homers and seven RBI in that span. He gave the Guardians a short-lived 2-1 lead with his third-inning blast Monday. For the season, the first baseman has 17 homers, 87 RBI, 27 doubles, 43 runs scored, seven stolen bases and a .307/.349/.509 slash line over 104 contests. He's been one of Cleveland's top hitters throughout the year and should see a near-everyday role over the last three weeks of the campaign.

Wade went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Guardians.

Wade remains limited to a strong-side platoon role, but he's thrived with that usage in September. He's gone 9-for-24 (.375) with four RBI over seven contests this month, and his RBI single in the 10th inning Monday was a walk-off hit. The first baseman is up to .258/.374/.407 slash line with 14 home runs, 39 RBI, 57 runs scored and two stolen bases over 120 contests this year. After hitting leadoff against right-handers for much of the year, Wade has been deeper in the lineup for the last three games while Mike Yastrzemski gets the leadoff nod.
