Casas (tooth) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the Astros, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Casas missed a pair of games with a tooth infection, but he was examined earlier Monday and was deemed ready to return to action. He'll occupy his usual spot at first base and look to continue his big post-All-Star break run. Through 32 second-half contests, Casas is maintaining a .323 average to go with 11 home runs, 21 RBI and 20 runs.

Rivas is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Rivas will hit the bench for the third straight game while the Pirates face a left-handed pitcher (Drew Rom) for the second consecutive day. Connor Joe will step in for the lefty-hitting Rivas as the Pirates' starting first baseman.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

The slugging first baseman took Dakota Hudson deep in the fourth inning, Alonso's fourth homer in the last five games and his 39th of the year. He's been flexing his muscles in August, slashing .254/.376/.690 through 20 games with nine long balls and 19 RBI as he closes in on his third career 40-homer campaign. Alonso also sits six RBI shy of his third season in triple digits.

Noda (jaw) started in right field and played seven innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Reno on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a two-run homer, a walk and an additional run.

Noda was able to play defense for the second consecutive night and looked to be no worse for wear while slugging a pair of round-trippers. The 27-year-old has gone 4-for-10 with two doubles, the pair of homers, five RBI, eight walks and seven runs across four rehab games with the Aviators, supporting the notion he's ready to be activated at any time.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Mets.

Goldschmidt jump started the Cardinals' offense with an RBI-single in the third and then a two-run blast in the fifth gave them a 3-2 lead and knocked Carlos Carrasco out of the game. It was his fourth game with at least three RBI this season and his fourth multi-hit effort over his last eight games. The long ball was Goldschmidt's 20th of the season, marking the 10th time he's reached that milestone in his career. Though it's a step down from his MVP season in 2022, the 35-year-old is having another productive campaign. He's now slashing .277/.364/.455 with 65 RBI, 70 runs and a 65:122 BB:K in 546 plate appearances.

Flores went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's victory over Atlanta.

Flores put the Giants ahead 3-2 with a two-run homer off Max Fried in the third inning, his 17th long ball of the season and his ninth in 31 games since the All-Star break. The 32-year-old Flores is just two homers shy of matching his career high set last season. He's now slashing an impressive .301/.359/.541 with 43 RBI and 40 runs scored across 323 plate appearances on the campaign.

Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 12-1 win over the Athletics.

Mountcastle has hit safely in 17 of 18 games in August, batting .403 (27-for-67) with four homers, 14 RBI and 14 runs scored this month. His blast in the fourth inning put the Orioles ahead 7-0. The first baseman is up to 17 homers, 60 RBI, 55 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .275/.321/.481 slash line through 93 contests overall. With his recent hitting, he's played his way back into widespread fantasy relevance.

Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

Following a walk by Matt Vierling to begin the top of the first, Torkelson sent an 0-1 pitch over the wall in right for an opposite-field homer. The two-run blast was his fifth in eight games and seventh this month, though his previous six August home runs were all solo shots. The batting average is still a subpar .233, but Torkelson's power surge is beginning to provide the Tigers with the type of production they expected when they made him the first overall selection in the 2020 draft.

Vaughn went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Vaughn opened the scoring with his second-inning blast. He'd gone nine games without a homer entering Sunday, batting a mediocre .206 with no extra-base hits over that span. For the season, he's slashing .253/.317/.430 with 16 homers, 63 RBI, 52 runs scored, 24 doubles and two triples over 115 contests.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will once again hit the bench while the Orioles face a left-handed starting pitcher (JP Sears) for the fourth time in as many days. With O'Hearn taking a seat, Gunnar Henderson will get a day out of the field and serve as the Orioles' designated hitter while Ryan Mountcastle picks up a start at first base.
