Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Homers in Saturday's win
Walker went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Guardians.
Walker took Shane Bieber deep in the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2. This was Walker's fourth multi-hit effort over his last seven games, a span in which he's gone 11-for-28 (.393) with seven extra-base hits. The first baseman is up to 14 homers, 45 RBI, 39 runs scored, 18 doubles and a stolen base while slashing .265/.331/.502 in 67 contests this year. His career-best average in a season is .271 in 2020, so he's not likely to do much better than he's doing right now.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Drives in five in big game
Wade went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, a walk and three runs scored in Saturday's 15-0 win over the Dodgers.
Wade hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning and added a pair of RBI singles after that. He doubled his RBI total for the month to 10 with Saturday's big effort. The 29-year-old continues to hit well in his strong-side platoon role at first base, and he could get a few more looks against lefties while Wilmer Flores (foot) is on the injured list. Wade is slashing .280/.416/.469 with nine homers, 26 RBI, 37 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases over 66 contests and remains on track for a career year.

Joey Votto 1B | TOR
Reds' Joey Votto: Playing for Louisville on Sunday
Votto (shoulder/biceps) will play again for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday in his rehab assignment, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Prior reports had suggested that Votto could return from the 60-day injured list Sunday to make his 2023 debut with the Reds, but the veteran first baseman will play at least one more game in the minors while on his rehab assignment. Votto has hit just .176 with three home runs and 10 RBI thus far in his 74 plate appearances in Triple-A as he works his way back from the left shoulder and biceps surgery he underwent last August.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Placed on IL with foot contusion
Flores was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Giants on Saturday with a left foot contusion, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Flores will miss at least a week-plus with the bruise on his foot. The infielder had been performing well in the month of June with a .385/.500/.615 slash over 26 at-bats. The Giants recalled Tristan Beck in a corresponding transaction.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Rays' Luke Raley: Not in starting nine
Raley will be on the bench Saturday against the Padres, Kristie Ackert of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Raley has been the latest Ray to emerge from obscurity and become a productive part-timer, hitting .270/.350/.597 with 12 homers and eight steals in 180 trips to the plate. He owns an 1.156 OPS in the month of June but will nonetheless head to the bench after making three straight starts, once at first base and once at both of the outfield corners.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Sitting Saturday
Casas will be on the bench for Saturday's game against the Yankees, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Casas finds himself on the bench against a righty (Clarke Schmidt) for just the third time all season. His first full season hasn't gone as planned, as he's hit .208/.330/.375 across 230 plate appearance, though he does at least owns an .819 OPS over his last 10 games. Justin Turner will handle first base Saturday.

Jonathan Singleton DH | HOU
Brewers' Jon Singleton: DFA'd by Brew Crew
The Brewers designated Singleton for assignment Saturday.
Singleton is slashing .103/.188/.138 since being called up by the Brewers, and the return of Jesse Winker (neck) from the injured list will push him off the Brewers' active and 40-man rosters. The veteran first baseman has had a successful season in Triple-A, so it's definitely possible another team claims him off waivers.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Pirates' Carlos Santana: Finding more power
Santana went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Friday against the Brewers.
Santana took Julio Teheran deep in the second inning to tally his sixth homer of the season. Three of those long balls have come in his last seven starts, during which he's also driven in seven and scored six runs. Santana has maintained an everyday role at first base and primarily hits fourth in the Pirates' order.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
Astros' Jose Abreu: Piling up extra-base hits
Abreu went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored Friday against the Reds.
Abreu started a ninth-inning rally with a leadoff double and ultimately scored the Astros' only run. Across his first 61 games of the season, he managed only nine-extra base hits. In seven games since, he's racked up three homers and three doubles while also scoring five runs and driving in 10. Abreu has settled into the fifth spot in the lineup with Yordan Alvarez (oblique) sidelined.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Heads to bench
O'Hearn will be on the bench Saturday against the Cubs.
O'Hearn has been surprisingly effective in 27 games for the Orioles this season, with his 1.004 OPS dwarfing the .683 OPS he managed across parts of five seasons with the Royals. He's almost exclusively been deployed against righties, so it's no surprise to see him sit here against lefty Justin Steele. Ramon Urias will start at first base.
