Jake Cronenworth 1B | SD
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Sits versus lefty
Cronenworth is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Cronenworth will be one of two lefty-hitting regulars who will hit the bench for the series finale, as Trent Grisham is also sitting with southpaw Patrick Corbin taking the hill for Washington. Brandon Drury will fill in at second base for Cronenworth, who went 1-for-3 with a walk and his second stolen base of the season in Saturday's 2-1 win.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Nationals' Luke Voit: Missing third straight game
Voit (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
Voit will be on the bench for a third consecutive game while he contends with back spasms. Joey Meneses will pick up a start at first base in Voit's stead.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Sits in second straight
Cron is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
The Rockies haven't revealed that Cron is dealing with an injury, but he'll find himself out of the lineup for a second straight game in any case. Rookie Elehuris Montero will pick up the start at first base in place of the 32-year-old Cron, who could see his opportunities tail off a bit down the stretch while the 53-69 Rockies are in evaluation mode.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Activated, starting Sunday
The Rangers activated Calhoun (heel) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll start in left field and bat seventh in the Rangers' series finale in Minnesota.
Following a two-and-a-half-week stint on the IL, Calhoun was cleared to rejoin the Rangers after completing a three-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock. Utility man Josh Smith was sent to Round Rock to clear room on the active roster for Calhoun, who is likely to step back into a large-side platoon role in the Rangers' corner outfield.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Resting Sunday
Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Diaz isn't known to be nursing an injury, but he'll find himself on the bench for the second time in three days nonetheless. Isaac Paredes will fill in at the hot corner in place of Diaz, who is slashing .218/.328/.418 with two home runs, five doubles, 12 RBI, eight runs and an 9:8 BB:K over 15 games in August.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Enters for Hosmer
Dalbec entered Saturday's game after Eric Hosmer was removed due to back pain. He went 0-for-2 in a 4-3 win over Baltimore.
Dalbec's already marginal playing time has taken a hit since Hosmer's arrival in Boston. The latter has had 45 plate appearances compared to Dalbec's 19. It's uncertain how long Hosmer will be impacted by the injury, but Dalbec will benefit from an uptick in playing time in the short term.

Darick Hall 1B | PIT
Phillies' Darick Hall: Sitting again
Hall is not in Sunday's lineup against the Mets.
Hall has been out of the lineup for three consecutive games, as Kyle Schwarber has occupied the designated-hitter role since his return to the lineup. As long as that continues, Hall will have a difficult time finding regular at-bats due to his defensive limitations and Rhys Hoskins being locked in at first base.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Padres' Josh Bell: Soothes slump with long ball
Bell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Saturday in a 2-1 victory versus the Nationals.
Bell has struggled mightily since joining the Padres in a trade with the Nationals on Aug. 2, batting .131 over 61 at-bats. He showed signs of life against his ex-club Saturday, accounting for the Padres' first run of the contest with a 415-foot solo shot in the fifth inning. Amidst his struggles, Bell has been both striking out and walking at acceptable rates, so there's reason to believe he'll bust out of the slump soon.

Reds' Donovan Solano: Three hits in blowout win
Solano went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Pirates.
Solano tallied an RBI single off lefty reliever Eric Stout in the ninth to increase Cincinnati's lead to six. The second baseman has been red hot with the bat recently with a .405 average in 37 at-bats during his last 10 games. In addition, the 34-year-old has enjoyed hitting at home this season with a .354 average and .913 OPS in 82 at-bats compared to a .279 average and .710 OPS in 68 at-bats on the road.
