Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Day off Wednesday
Calhoun is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale with the Mariners.
Calhoun will get a breather after he went 0-for-5 with a walk and two strikeouts in the first two games of the series. Charlie Culberson will take over in left field and bat sixth versus Seattle.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Dealing with thumb issue
Pasquantino was withheld from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels due to right thumb discomfort, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
Royals manager Mike Matheny said the first baseman experienced the discomfort during a swing Tuesday. The rookie is already said to be feeling better, so his absence Wednesday looks to be precautionary in nature. After Wednesday's contest, the Royals open a four-game road series versus the Yankees on Thursday.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Sitting out Wednesday
Lowe is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.
Lowe will get a day off after he went 8-for-27 with two homers, two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored over six games since the All-Star break. Elier Hernandez will take over at first base and bat ninth in the series finale.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Padres' Luke Voit: Plates three runs
Voit went 1-for-4 with three RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Tigers.
He helped break a 3-3 tie in the top of the 10th, when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score Jurickson Profar. Voit, who is getting on base at a .409 clip through the Padres' first five games out of the All-Star break, will start at first base and bat cleanup in Wednesday's series finale.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Hitting streak ends
Kirilloff went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Brewers.
The empty showing at the plate ended a nine-game hitting streak for Kirilloff, who produced a .344/.417/.375 slash line during that stretch. Kirilloff should be a solid source of batting average while he continues to hold down an everyday role in the corner outfield, but he hasn't yet tapped into the power that some might have expected from him based on what he did at Triple-A St. Paul earlier this season (.641 slugging percentage). With Max Kepler (toe) on the bench for the second day in a row in Wednesday's series finale with Milwaukee, Kirilloff will slide over from left field to start in right while serving as the Twins' No. 6 hitter, according to Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Connects on 19th homer
Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Phillies.
Olson's fifth-inning long ball gave Atlanta a 5-0 lead that provided more than enough cushion for rookie starting pitcher Spencer Strider, who yielded one run over six innings before getting pulled from the contest. In his first season with Atlanta, Olson has seen his batting average slip from his final year in Oakland, but he's more or less maintained his power production. He's now up to 19 home runs and has already matched his career-high total from last season with 35 doubles, which leads the majors. Olson will start at first base and bat third in Wednesday's series finale.

Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Sitting Wednesday
Pratto will sit Wednesday against the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Pratto will get a breather after he went 0-for-4 with three walks and a hit-by-pitch in the first two contests of the series. Ryan O'Hearn will take over at first base and bat fifth versus Los Angeles.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: On bench Wednesday
Pasquantino is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Pasquantino will get a breather after he went 2-for-7 with a double, a run scored and two walks over the first two games of the series. Andrew Benintendi will slide into the designated hitter spot while Kyle Isbel enters the lineup in left field and bats seventh in the series finale.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Sporting hot bat out of break
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a pair of base hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Atlanta.
The 25-year-old will start at third base and bat seventh in Wednesday's series finale, taking an 11-game hitting streak into the contest. That impressive stretch was preceded by a 12-game one that began June 21 and lasted until July 5, enabling him to maintain an outstanding .393 average for nearly five weeks. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Bohm's elite batting average hasn't translated to major counting-stats production; he's managed only two home runs, no stolen bases, 13 runs and 12 RBI between the two double-digit hitting streaks.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Delivers game-winning homer
Walker went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Giants.
Walker's three-run blast off Carlos Rodon in the third inning gave Arizona a 5-2 lead and was the game-winning knock. It was homer number 23 for Walker, who is a candidate to be moved at the trade deadline. Teams may see a .207 batting average and dismiss Walker, but the first baseman's .192 BABIP suggests bad luck is at play. Another hint that he's better than the average is an elite barrel rate (13.7%, 89th percentile). Throw in a career-high 13.2 BB% and career-low 19.1 K% and Walker, who becomes a free agent in 2024, looks very appealing, particularly to a team in need of power.
