Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Loses hold of leadoff job
Hoskins will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Mets.
Following a recent 13-game stretch in which he turned in an unremarkable .316 on-base percentage while occupying the leadoff spot, Hoskins now finds himself hitting sixth for the second game in a row. Kyle Schwarber sits atop the lineup for the second time in as many days and now looks like manager Joe Girardi's new preferred option for the table-setting role.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Pair of RBI in Saturday's win
France went 2-for-5 with a two-run single and a run in a win over the Astros on Saturday.
France put the final runs of the night on the board with his fifth-inning knock. The red-hot infielder now boasts a 10-game hitting streak during which he's compiled six multi-hit efforts on his way to a .439/.489/.707 slash line.

Alfonso Rivas 1B | STL
Cubs' Alfonso Rivas: Sitting versus righty
Rivas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Even with a right-hander (Dylan Cease) toeing the rubber for the White Sox, the lefty-hitting Rivas will find himself on the bench in the series finale. Rivas has gone 0-for-8 over the Cubs' past two games to drop his average for May down to .148, and he could be in danger of losing out on a regular spot in the lineup once the Cubs return Jason Heyward (illness) from the COVID-19-related injured list and Nick Madrigal (back) from the 10-day IL.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Nursing sore wrist
Guerrero is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels due to soreness in his left wrist, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
Guerrero was originally slated to serve as the designated hitter in Sunday's series finale, but he's instead absent from the lineup due to the wrist issue. The 23-year-old is 4-for-16 with two home runs, a double, three walks and three RBI over his past four contests, and it's unclear when the injury first surfaced. He should be considered day-to-day while Cavan Biggio starts at first base in his place.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Swats pinch-hit homer
Dalbec went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against Baltimore.
Dalbec pinch hit for Franchy Cordero and broke a 3-3 tie with just his second homer of the season and first since April 10. He also had a hit in the nightcap, giving him at least one knock in three straight games. Relegated to starting against left-handers and an occasional righty, Dalbec's playing time is scattered, and he isn't helping fantasy teams at this time.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Extends on-base streak
Calhoun went 3-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Athletics.
Calhoun has reached base safely in 17 straight games, slashing .397/.451/.778 with 11 extra-base hits, six walks and 18 runs scored during that stretch. The 34-year-old outfielder raised his OPS to .803, his highest mark since the end of the 2020 season.
-
Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Legs out triple
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-4 win over Oakland.
Lowe's been a new hitter since being held out of the lineup Wednesday. In the three games since, he's 6-for-11 with a home run, triple, double, four RBI and four runs scored. The power (.373 slugging, .106 ISO) is still nowhere near what one expects from a corner infielder due to just six extra-base hits over his first 38 games.
-
C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Slugs 13th homer
Cron went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 13-7 loss to the Nationals during the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.
He kept swinging a hot stick in the nightcap, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Cron has seven multi-hit performances in his last 15 games, slashing .355/.412/.597 over that stretch with 13 RBI, 15 runs and four of his 13 homers on the year.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Three-run homer in win
Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and four RBI in Saturday's victory over the Brewers.
Goldschmidt launched a three-run homer off Adrian Houser in the third frame before later adding two singles and another RBI. The long ball was his 10th of the season and he has now gone deep in three consecutive games and four of his last five contests overall. Since May 13, Goldschmidt has batted .475 with eight homers, 25 RBI and 12 runs over 14 games. The 34-year-old is having a superb season overall, producing a .355/.420/.622 slash line over 172 at-bats, which represent career bests at average and slugging percentage.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Padres' Luke Voit: Strikes blow with three-run homer
Voit went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 4-3 victory against Pittsburgh.
Voit struck out in each of his first two plate appearances and has fanned 21 times in 46 at-bats since returning from the injured list May 10, but he made up for the punchouts with a three-run homer to left field in the sixth inning. The long ball extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which he's batting .318 (7-for-22). He's also struck out 10 times over that span, however.
