The Cubs transferred Rivas (finger) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday, Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Rivas had already been ruled out for the season after landing on the 10-day IL on Sept. 21 with an injury to his right middle finger. His move to the 60-day IL frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for minor-league catcher Tyler Payne, who will serve as the backup to starter Erick Castillo in Sunday's season finale in St. Louis. The transaction won't affect Rivas' recovery timeline, as the 25-year-old rookie is expected to be in line for a relatively normal offseason.

Abreu is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

The veteran gets a rare day off, but he'll be back in action when the ALDS begins in Houston on Thursday. Andrew Vaughn is playing first base and batting eighth Sunday.

Voit (knee) will be out of action for the next few weeks but could return if the Yankees go deep into October, Max Goodman of SI.com reports.

Voit was placed on the 10-day IL on Thursday, but it appears likely that he'll need more than the minimum stay before he's ready to return. That probably rules him out of the ALDS -- should the Yankees get that far -- but leaves the door open for Voit to return if New York advances to the ALCS. The slugger played sparingly down the stretch and, barring injury to others on the roster, would likely fill a bench role if he does see postseason action.

Gurriel is on the bench for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Currently boasting a .318 average, Gurriel is in position to win the AL batting title. Marwin Gonzalez fills in at first base and bats seventh Sunday.

Guerrero (ankle) is batting third and playing first base Sunday against the Orioles.

As expected, Guerrero is good to go after rolling his ankle and exiting Saturday's game. He has an enticing matchup against left-handed starter Bruce Zimmermann.

Dalbec is on the bench for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Dalbec sits for a second consecutive game as the Red Sox take on another right-handed starter, and matchups will likely determine whether he's in the lineup for Game 163 or the wild card game. Kyle Schwarber is starting at first base Sunday.

Walker went 3-for-5 with three doubles, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Rockies.

Walker had three doubles in a game for the first time this season, and it was just his second game with multiple extra-base hits. In addition, it was his sixth game in which he scored two runs. The 30-year-old is slashing .244/.315/.383 with 10 long balls, 46 RBI and 54 runs scored in 441 plate appearances this season. He has nine hits -- including five extra-base hits -- in his last four games.

France went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and a walk in Saturday's 6-4 win against the Angels.

France walked in the first inning, doubled and scored in the third and fifth and scored again in the eighth for his third three-run game of the season and second in his last five games. The infielder is 7-for-18 over his last five games and is slashing .293/.369/.448 on the season.

Rizzo went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 12-2 loss to the Rays.

The first baseman took Shane Baz deep in the bottom of the first inning, but the Yankees were already in a 3-0 hole at that point. After going 16 games without a homer, Rizzo has gone yard twice in the last three games to give him 22 on the year, including eight since joining New York at the trade deadline.

Guerrero exited Saturday's win over the Orioles after rolling his ankle but is feeling fine, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

Guerrero was taken out of the game late after rolling his ankle rounding first base in the sixth inning. Manager Charlie Montoyo clarified that there was no serious injury, and that the team would have had more concern had it been a knee or hamstring issue. Prior to his exit, Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run to bring his homer total on the season to 47.
