Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Held out Thursday
Altuve (shoulder) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Indians, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
The stud second baseman left Tuesday's contest after a collision with outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, and it appears that Altuve's ailments still haven't subsided. He'll get another day off with the hope to return Friday, allowing Marwin Gonzalez to land a start at the keystone Thursday.

Taylor Motter 2B | STL
Mariners' Taylor Motter: Occupying two-hole, first base Thursday
Motter is batting second and playing first base Thursday, Bob Dutton of The News Tribune reports.
The rising 27-year-old had mostly batted fifth or sixth in his outings this year and had played third base the past two games while Kyle Seager (hip) was resting. Motter had two previous appearances at first base this year, and if Seattle keeps moving him around the diamond, he could boast exciting positional eligibility the rest of what could be a breakout season.

Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Drives in two runs Wednesday
Andrus went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 14-3 win over the Twins.
After scoring no more than six runs in any of their last eight games, the Rangers finally broke out of the offensive doldrums Wednesday, with Andrus being one of five batters in the lineup to record multiple hits. While it's looking increasingly likely that the eight extra-base hits Andrus accrued in the first nine games of the season were fluky -- he's delivered only singles in his subsequent 12 contests -- the veteran shortstop should remain a quality source of batting average, runs and stolen bases as the season wears on.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Out Wednesday with shoulder injury
Altuve (shoulder) is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Indians.
It was reported earlier that Altuve would likely be in the lineup, but he will get a day off after being involved in a collision with teammate Teoscar Hernandez in Tuesday's game. Marwin Gonzalez will start at second base and hit ninth in his place.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Astros' Tony Kemp: Heads to big leagues
Kemp was recalled from Triple-A Fresno on Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The 25-year-old is batting .297 with the Grizzlies this season, and with recent callup Teoscar Hernandez (knee) getting hurt in his first game with Houston, Kemp will get another crack at major-league action. Kemp made his major-league debut last season, although he batted just .217 in 120 at-bats, so he'll look to improve from that lowly mark during this cup of coffee.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Will likely play Wednesday
Altuve (shoulder) said he "most likely" will play Wednesday with his availability dictated by how he feels in the morning and afternoon, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports. "I think we still have to wait until tomorrow," Altuve said after Tuesday's 4-2 win against the Indians, "but I have a good chance to play tomorrow."
Altuve was involved in a collision with right fielder Teoscar Hernandez that forced both players to leave the game. Hernandez took the brunt of the collision while Altuve reportedly had a sore left shoulder.

Astros' Jose Altuve: Avoids concussion Tuesday
Altuve, who was removed from Tuesday's game after colliding with Teoscar Hernandez, did not sustain a concussion, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
From manager A.J. Hinch's comments following Tuesday's contest, it sounds like Altuve was a bit shaken up after colliding with Hernandez, but ultimately did not sustain any significant damage and should be fine moving forward. He'll be listed as day-to-day until we learn more in regards to his availability for Wednesday's game against the Indians.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Exits game following collision
Altuve exited Tuesday's game against the Indians early after colliding with Teoscar Hernandez in the field, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Altuve and Hernandez collided with each other while attempting to make a play on a fly ball. Hernandez seemed to take the brunt of the impact, as he was removed from the game on a cart. Though Altuve's injury is currently unclear, it is encouraging that he was able to walk off the field under his own power. Further updates should become available following the conclusion of Tuesday's contest.

Taylor Motter 2B | STL
Mariners' Taylor Motter: Breaks game open with grand slam Sunday
Motter went 2-for-5 with a double and a grand slam in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Athletics.
Motter gave the Mariners a 6-0 lead in the third with the first grand slam of his career, a 389-foot shot to left center. It was Motter's fifth home run on the season, all of which have come in the last 11 games. The 27-year-old utility man continues to draw starts at shortstop in place of Jean Segura (hamstring), but with Leonys Martin having been designated for assignment Sunday, Motter could presumably split time in left field with Guillermo Heredia once Segura returns.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Homers in second straight game
Altuve went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.
The Houston spark plug hit his first home run of the season Saturday, so it's encouraging to see him follow it up with another shot Sunday. His five-category production is especially tough to find at the keystone position, and Altuve is well on his way to another sterling fantasy campaign with 11 runs, two homers, seven RBI, seven stolen bases and a .324/.393/.459 slash line.
